Filter out contract orbit Llines

Recommended Posts

Good evening,

after setting up a couple of satellites around Kerbal, Mun and Minmus its very confusing working with a Maneuver Node. Disabling Probes in the Tracking station i. e., removes them in the Orbit Map in Flight Mode including the one I am controlling and this is to little confusiung :)

Is a Mod out there where I can filter the Orbit Lines (i.e. the Orbits for the contracts) in the Orbit Map? Searched curse and the forum already, but I didn't found any useful.

Regards

None that I'm aware of. You probably could just try declining the offending contracts in Mission Control - there's no penalty for refusing to take a contract. Of course, if the offending contract is one you've accepted, that's another story.

So, to clarify: you're not worried about the orbit clutter from ACTIVE contracts, you're worried about the orbit clutter from COMPLETED contracts?

In that case, there's two stock options:

  1. Terminate each "contract" satellite after its contract is complete. Role-play it as "the company took over control, so I don't have access to it any more".
  2. Rename completed "contract" satellites, and while you're renaming them, choose a different category (the icons under the name box). Pick a category you plan on never using, e.g. "Base", then their map icon will be "Base" and you can hide them easily.

The real problem is that if you deactivate a type of orbit line in the tracking station, then even your active vessel's is invisible... IMHO that's a bug, since you should always always see the active vessel's projected course.

I was gonna suggest renaming them and classifying them as debris, but DeMatt already got there. Don't use debris for things you might want again later though, since the game will start deleting them after a while :)

Thank you for the Tip, I wasn't aware of the possibility of renaming the objects.
