The swept wings are the easiest to build with. I found a thread a while ago with some good plane-building tips. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit:

Here is the link:

Good tutorial but not much about wings. Try disabling angle snap and see if that helps.

Go to Spacecraft exchange and look at either Wanderfound's 'Kerbodyne SSTO division' thread or the 'SSTOs! Post your pictures here!' thread. Both of those have awesome planes for you to use as reference material.

Question: Are you already aware of how to balance center of mass and center of lift? If so, then I need say no more.

the planes i have created, i built them using winglets and it mostly wanted to turn sideways and all the planes i created always crashed

-Do i need to turn on part clipping to make wings?

P.S. Just read the guide... its so helpful thx... i hope i can give some rep

Wow, no one answered the question.

Simply put, wings are modular. You attach them together and typically you want to "clip" the grey areas of the wings into one another. Likewise control surfaces are going to clip over the wings grey area leaving only the front edge grey area visible. You can make them as large or small as you like. You do not need part clipping turned on to do this.

When you attach them, do it from the base of the plane outward in rows, then add struts in inconspicuous locations from front to back because parts can only attach in one spot.

If you want to download examples, click the second link in my signature. They won't fly in stock aerodynamics but they still show the construction techniques.

This picture is the B9 wings which work the same way (just without the grey) but I previously edited the picture to show the direction of wing construction.
