(Settings.cfg) Changing "AXIS_CAMERA" bindings (Middle click camera shift control)?pivot

Recommended Posts

Hello, just your average forum veteran who still doesn't know something about the settings.cfg file...

I've been wondering how to change this setting for a while, but only now after my middle-click mouse button is half broken am I actively trying to find out how.

In game when you press the mouse wheel in (This button), the camera shifts your view off center of your craft. When you double click the wheel in it re-centers your view back on your craft/active vessel. Here's the problem. As far as I can tell, this isn't remap-able. In the KSP in game settings, there is no mention of it. The closest thing is "mouse wheel sensitivity" in Other.

I think it is one of these key bindings in the settings.cfg file:

...
AXIS_CAMERA_HDG
{
name = None
id = None
inv = False
sensitivity = 1
deadzone = 0.05
scale = 1
group = 0
switchState = Any
}
AXIS_CAMERA_PITCH
{
name = None
id = None
inv = False
sensitivity = 1
deadzone = 0.05
scale = 1
group = 0
switchState = Any
}
...

TLDR: If I wanted to remap the camera pivot control, how would I?

These bindings are, as far as I can tell, for a joystick, and I don't think those bindings are even the ones you'd need to change for the camera function you're describing.

I'm not even sure the bindings for that are listed anywhere; I certainly can't find them. :(

:(. Okay I won't mess with those controls then. Perhaps we should suggest we bring it up as something that should be change able in settings.
