Need help with forum!

I'm trying to reserve a slot under my first post in my interplanetary ships report, but it keeps adding my edits to my first post instead. Please Help!

I think that's to avoid double posts - i guess it's not letting anyone double post anymore.

You shouldn't need more than a single post, really. The forum automatically merges consecutive posts to keep things tidy.

You can simply partition your original post instead and have it all in one place. If you need to link to specific parts of the post, you can use the Goto and Line BBCode tags, as outlined here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/107828-Goto-Line-Basically-%29

This is the most clever thing I've heard in a LONG time. Every time I see double posters, mainly when it's a "You know there's an edit button right?" moment, I get twitchy.

Yeah I set this on purpose as merging posts is a huge drain on moderator time, but I do understand that people want to break up an OP with sections which is exactly why I also set up (with some help) the Goto line tags

If I may suggest, Sal, some small "Back to Top" links placed right underneath each of the headers would make it properly complete, I think.

There is a limit on characters per post.

If anyone needs more than 20k characters (which IIRC is the limit), I'd start to think they need to be writing books instead of forum posts.
