Hilarious MK3 Easter Egg (sort of)

There's at least one more easter egg like that on the Mk3 parts. The Mk3 to Mk2 Adapter has "Curvy!" written on it.

EDIT: Here's a shot of it:

I realize that the spelling is slightly different than I said it was, but this is because I auto-correct K Syndrome whenever I encounter it.

I remember one of the IVA's had a Post-It saying 'I ate all the snacks -B', not sure if it was stock/mod, but funny non the less

This was on the IVA view of the Mk1 Lander-Can, if I remember correctly.

My favorite part-related Easter egg is the one on the large Remote Guidance Unit. It has a variety of integrated circuits on the front and back, which are labeled things like "Thingamajig" and "Whatchamacallit." The writing is so small that despite the fact that this Easter-egg has been around for many, many versions, few have noticed it.

Wait, the OP and Separatron safety-warning stencils are Easter Eggs? And amusing? Really? Seemed perfectly sensible to me...

IRL, Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Boosters had "LOADED" stenciled every 10 meters or so along the full length of their exteriors. Stenciled on at the factory in Utah after, well, loading it. I Swear I Am Not Making That Up, I've got photos somewhere!

Makes me wonder what could have possibly happened that someone felt that was necessary.

Usually Easter eggs are hidden things...

And usually reference something outside the game, like the Kraken ;)

That's why I said sort of in the title.

My favorite warning text is on the ruggedized vehicular wheel:

"WARNING: NOT CERTIFIED FOR REALLY COOL JUMPS"

The cockpit postits are funny too

My favorite is "don't do counterclockwise rolls, screws will come undone"

Not always, some Easter eggs are "hidden in plain sight" sort of like the ridiculous clauses in EULA's just to see who actually reads the whole thing before clicking okay.

Maybe you've heard of the brown M&Ms clause in Van Halen's concert contracts? The purpose of this Easter egg was for safety instead of humor. "Uh oh, we have brown M&M's here. What else did they miss?" Their contracts spelled out specific power and structural requirements of the stage for their equipment, which, if not followed could result in injury or death of band members, staff, or even audience members. (http://www.snopes.com/music/artists/vanhalen.asp)

I too love the Easter eggs which are little details like the ones earlier in this thread that were likely put there by the developer / modder, just to see who would catch it. I especially enjoy the pop culture references in some games (Deus Ex:Human Revolution is full of references to sci-fi authors and characters).

The Hitchhiker has also lots of funny things written on its drawers inside. There are 4 ones for "trash", "laundry", "junk" and "rubbish", some for board games (so your kerbals won´t get bored on their long journey), for "science" and "more science", for "food" and "not food" and lots of other stuff. Its wonderful!
