Low tech calligraphy fun

The last time i used a calligraphy pen is something like 20 years ago. Last weekend i bought a cheap one from a supermarket.

I am not very good with it but i had some fun the last few days with it.

Strangely i didn't like writing in school but now i am filling up whole sheets of paper with useless text because i enjoy it.

This was the first text i wrote with it.

Oh, few decades ago it was mandatory to learn this, and then it was abandoned in schools. Then it was reinstated. I think it was abandoned, again.

Could be a neat thing to try. Just some writing with no real words in it - focused purely on looking pretty.

Sometimes I use caligraphy to "simulate" the old style handwriting of Santa.

Makes it look like it really came from him.

You obviously have some artistic talent... I only ever end up with rorschach test cards when I try to use a fountain pen.
