How do you shift focus back to your craft in map mode?

Recommended Posts

Okay, I have had it. One of my biggest pet peeves in KSP is when you're in map mode, and accidentally shift focus from the craft you're flying to the celestial body itself.

How do you switch focus back to the craft? I've tried clicking on the craft itself endlessly (which a double-click was more than sufficient to shift focus away in the first place, but apparently doesn't work in reverse).

Thanks in advance.

The TAB key will advance focus to the next celestial body. (If you're focused on Kerbin, the next body is Mun.) Note that this is exactly the opposite of what you want, so you'll have to hit TAB multiple times. Your original craft is next in line after Eeloo, which is after all the Joolian moons.

Supposedly, Left Shift + Tab does the same thing but in reverse, so you would be able to do what you want in one keypress. I don't use it, as I almost always have ship's controls enabled while in Map View and so Left Shift is 'throttle up'. (Not a good thing when you're trying to FIND your ship!)

EDIT: Ninja'd. (And with better advice than I had.)

Any time you want to snap immediately to your craft in map mode, click the "~" key under "esc".
