How do I use this program?

Ok, new question... For the moment, I'm going to run a Kerbalized mission series. I have chosen to use Open Broadcaster Software as my video recording device. However, I have no idea how to start recording anything besides sound and a black screen. It says I need to add a global source to it, but everytime I attempt to do so, it never shows up in the white sources box, what am I doing wrong here?

Maybe I'm wrong, but OBS records for livestreams.

If you want, Bandicam is easier to use.

Unlike those, OBS is free and yes, it does record on your storage medium. I've used it and it's a decent program when you figure out how to do it. As most highly versatile programs, it requires you to set up everything and it turns into fiddling with graphics card's settings.

Right click in the "Sources" window (the white box on the right) and Add > Game Capture > pick KSP from the list. When you're ready to record, click "Start Streaming" (or "Start Recording"). Unless I forgot something, that's it and whenever you want to record KSP in the future you can just open OBS and click the button.
