hello everyone, just donated the 15 dollars today after trying out the demo, and i figured i would make myself known on the forums!

Right now im mostly still in the how the hell do i get this thing off the ground phase, but im sure ill be losing people in space instead of on the launch pad soon!

When I made my first rocket I didn\'t realize the importance of S.A.S. and the A.S.A.S, so I crashed many many many rockets.

got a question already for you all... i just managed to get into an elyptical orbit (quite by accident i can assure you) and upon reentry my chute deployed but did not open .. and it ended with a big boom in the end... do i have to do something special toforce the chute to pop open??

The chute fully opens at 500m (I think). Had you activated the stage with the chute in?

Once activated, the chute should drag until you are near to the ground, then fully deploy (at around 500m above ground).

Damn post while typing, but I am sure that it is 500m \'Cause I looked it up in the part.cfg

is it possible the land was higher then 500m above sea level? cause everything looked aok (apart from the parachute popping open, it did come out. but it stayed euh... unpopped?)

It takes a few seconds for it to fully open, even at <500m. Or maybe g forces are too high? How fast did you go?
