I want to make my voice like the kerbal man, what should I do?

Recommended Posts

Hmmm, Kerbals speak reversed Spanish, pitch changed to be a bit higher, so you'd have to learn Spanish if you don't know it already.

You could then use a program like Audacity to reverse the audio and change the pitch :)

Chatterer basically does that - but with English and Russian samples. Pretty much anything sounds kerbally with a 15-20% pitch increase and played backwards :)

I made a sample from Kennedy's famous moon speech doing exactly that to add to my local chatterer :)

I am planning to make ksp videos,so,if I could make my voice in the video like kerbal man, that will be wonderful and fun.

If you know relative mods and software, please tell me.

Thank you very much!

If you prefer a more "hardware" solution, I might suggest you to try it with Helium.

I know I had a lot of fun with it :)

Step 1: Learn Spanish.

Step 2: Record your phrase in Spanish.

Step 3: Use Audio editing software to Reverse the recording.

Step 4: Use Audio editing software to increase the pitch of the recording - note do not change the pace of the recording.

Alright, just don't inhale TOO much Helium over time or at once. Too much of anything is bad.

I must agree, Audacity is a great tool to edit audio with. But if you want to make what your saying comprehensible to humans, I'd just record Spanish/English and raise the pitch and speed slightly, as suggested before.

Better not ever get in a car. People die in those too, and the shower, and the bathtub, and...
There's an enormous difference between our everyday risks and going onto the internet to casually suggest that someone should go and do something potentially dangerous.
Also note it was due to inhaling from a pressurized tank, not a balloon.
I did note that. I also noted that the suggestion was just "try it with Helium" without any mention of pressures or methods. That is a stupid thing to tell someone to do.
