I just did an equatorial crossing of Kerbin's Eastern Ocean in an hour and 16 minutes!

Straight off the runway heading east. Average speed 80 m/s, that's 180 mph! (or 155 knots - we are at sea!)

Nice, that's some good speed (288km/h)! Is that stock water, or Better Buoyancy, by the way?

My own experimentation with boats ended with the conclusion, "Water makes a terrifying sound. Abort, abort!"..

Using any mods for that?

I don't think it would made for a good challenge. Entries would differ in designs but not in technique.

Got to the water, go as fast as you can (and the water will let you) and time yourself.

Not a whole lot to work with since you are limited by the water (speed at which stuff will start going boom/splash).

Now, as far as boats go and and considering the purpose of it, it's a nice boat.

ALL STOCK!

square "structual jet intakes" backwards and slightly clipped, form the boat hull.

SAS and active canards keep it in control. Thrust limiter on the jet to 20%.

if you happen to hit 93 m/s it just vaporizes!:D

EDIT: I've been trying to make a jet boat/rover since November. the first one wasn't seaworthy, but it could FLY!
