  1. I'm just going to say this. A free market, capitalistic economy only works when consumers hold companies, and there products, accountable for the product they sell. Whether it's an important product like medical syringes or something as silly as a whoopie cushion. Consumer rights are a foundational pillar of our economic structure. Giving a company a pass, for any reason, when they sell a highly flawed product goes directly against self interest as well as the principles of capitalism. This isn't about video games and certainly isn't about an indie developer. It's about an economic structure that is losing its foundations because consumers no longer do there part to make capitalism function as it should. The banking and auto industries bail outs are perfect example of what happens when consumers dont utilize the power they have. And no, I'm not comparing a $15 game to a billion dollar housing bubble.
  2. To be fair, I think it would look better if they said the problem was the bug fix itself. "During our final testing, the fairings were still giving us a few issues so we have decided to delay..". This is a delay for new stuff when people just want to be able to land on the Mun without exploding lol.
  3. Not gonna lie, finding out that the delay for a bug patch that is to fix massive issues with the game (boarder line game breaking) is being held up by bugged additional added content, is beyond frustrating as a consumer. Squad, straight talk here, this is not a viable buisness workflow. In my humble opinion, having the excuse here being because of the added content, leaves an extremely sour taste in my mouth. Priorities need to be changed a bit if fixing serious flaws isn't paramount over added content.
  4. Not a complaint here just an observation. But it seems adding more content to this patch wasn't such a great idea. Stability and bugs should be the focus imo. This is starting to feel like an early MMO trying to gain new players with content the. Fixing the game for those that already play. Here is too hoping 1.4.3 will be the last patch needed to fix 1.4. I think I'm going to settle down with this version to start my long term kolonization play thru. Waiting for new versions just isn't worth it. 1.4 seems to have better performance for my crappy laptop so I really wanted this version. Godspeed devs!
  5. You try telling Valentina that "upper management" has delayed kolonization efforts for another week... The woman's got a passion for space travel and she won't listen to reason!
  6. I'd love to be able to MechJeb the hell out of work
  7. Fair enough. But I would go out on a limb and say that's a minority account. For most, 1.4 has been problematic, from CTD to drag inducing fairings, eternally bouncing rovers, exploding legs etc. Using Linux also changes this discussion a bit. Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding. There is a reason 1.3 had 1 hot fix and 1.4 is about to have its 3rd with a possible 4th down the line.
  8. From what I understand, 1.3.1 has a high reputation for being one of the best stable and bug free versions ksp has released. So it's a very popular version for mods because of it. And you know, crucial features like landing legs actually work and don't explode upon... landing.
  9. I'd like to be able to lock 30 fps too if possible.
  10. Does "perfectly stable" involve landing legs that explode in contact, fairings that actually add drag rather then help reduce it etc? It's misleading for anyone to act like 1.4.2 is a good version in any way shape or form. It's easily the worst version in a very long time. I love this game and have a lot of respect for Squad as game development this old isn't always easy. But we as a consumer base need to stop pretending it's ok for any company to take your money while giving you an incomplete product. I'm not mad or bitter, nothing like that. It's just I notice the change in how consumers seem to be treated in 2018 and how, for some ridiculous reason, the burden seems to fall on consumers rather then the companies taking our money.
  11. Is this confirmed to be true? If so, that is a game changer. Fairings with the MKS mod would be a nessesity I would think for a poor rocket engineer sending up large stuff. Thanks all. It seems for now I might just have to plan out some ships and sub assembly parts for when 1.4.3 releases. There seems to be a ton of major issues they need to fix ASAP. Exploding legs? Non fairing, fairings? Memory leak via message spam? Etc.
  12. Thank you for the reply. My concern with the spam thing is that it would give my crappy computer more things to process. I think the CC work around just deletes the messages. So really my issue is with it needing more computer power, when I'm already asking a lot from my computer with mods.
  13. Hello everyone. I was just wondering if 1.4.1 is a safe build (ie, no game breaking bugs) to start a new modded play through with? Or am I better off waiting for the eventual 1.4.3 patch? I'm avoiding 1.4.2 due to its current contract spam bug. I plan to do a long term, modded play through without updating anything and want to make sure I'm starting with a good foundation KSP build. Thank you all for your time and help.
  14. Thanks. Can you please tell me what to do with this txt? How do I go about creating this patch for the missing parts? Thank you for the help.
