  1. Engineer here. It doesn't have to be pretty. It doesn't have to be efficient. As long as it does what it needs to then I'm a happy bunny!
  2. @Rune what do you put in your cargo hauler that you have in Cupcakes thread? Your little monoprop tugs, spare engines or just more cargo? Looks way better than any of my haulers. I think I might need to "borrow" your connection setup between the hauler and the boxes....
  3. Holy Huge Updates Batman (Rune). Thanks for sharing, always enjoy your craft. As for updating well Lacklustre, my personal favourite and something I have as yet failed to emulate in a larger craft, is there along with your other stalwarts. I always found your subassemblies very very helpful. So much so that my asteroid mining setup is about 80% made of them with a few bits of my own added. Outside of the claymore I would say that you could probably have done with updates and move onwards and upwards. Just my 2p mind.
  4. Today I realised how hard it is to make an SSTO rocket that has the TWR to take off and enough fuel to reach orbit but doesn't want to spin end over end randomly. And also looks half decent rather than my usual collection of randomly assorted parts! I tip my had to the likes Cupcake and Rune and all the other talented players out there! I did discover however that I appear to have a talent for making rockets that like to cartwheel into the ground.
  5. Just dropping in to say thanks for sharing your craft. Just got back into KSP and managed to find your Lacklustre. It is a great craft, looks great and the landing gear location is brilliant, and you weren't kidding about being on fumes when it got to orbit. Do you still only use mediafire or are you hosting on another site?
  6. How forgiving are these probes fuel budgets? I admit to being a bit lazy and impatient with my launch windows and rendezvous.
  7. Very nice. Look forward to throwing some large payloads up with this.
  8. Also does anyone remember the round trip challenge from about a year back? It was before the forums went belly up. There were some brilliant designs in that.
  9. Oo. Saucy! I presume the payload goes in the gap? What's the ship like for wobble under thrust ?
  10. Am I doing something wrong when I get the following. Set a transfer from kerbin orbit to say Duna. I ask it plot a node, time gets accelerated until just before MJ should throttle up, it does some wheeling about, lineup and then recalculates the burn to take place in 40- odd days and goes back into accelerated time. Am I doing something wrong? Should I burn to or it Kerbol. Ask MJ to transfer or should it be able to go straight from Kerbin orbit to Duna? The starting orbits are between 80 and 150k.
  11. Slight necro but it's relevant so why not. What's the general consensus when doing a reusable round trip ship for docking connectors. Are the Sr ports good enough or are we still best using a tri-connector and normal docking ports? The Sr seems to wobble a bit for me at time but others it's fine.
  12. I'm really liking it. Had a wee play about tonight and it's really well made. Thinking of taking a couple on my first trip to Jool for shuffling payloads about and deorditing things. If you tweak this or make more be sure to let us know please.
