  1. Well, a single solar panel would have been enough, but I see none.
  2. Why? There is enough science in Kerbin space for close to everything.
  3. I had a similar issue. But not with fairings, though fairings were used on the craft. I put a small service bay on the craft, put in 2 Z-200 batteries and 8 Z-400 on a radial connection to the Z-200. They were clipping through the service bay doors a bit, but I did not care at first. After launching the vessel it was a bit shaky, but I thought it was just my strange construction + the fairing. After reaching Orbit and releasing the fairing it still behaved somewhat strange. When I tried to do time warp it told me it's not possible when under accelleration. Then I rebuilt my design regarding the batteries and no more issues. So I filed this under: Bad design - .... happens! I hope I still got the construction saved, will try to reproduce the issue.
  4. We all know Real Life, right? Even there you can get contracts that are impossible to complete. Why not in KSP aswell? Sure, it MAY be possible, but at what costs?
  5. Well, I grinded my way to the resource stuff, built a base on Minmus, now I fly everything into Minmus orbit, refuel -> go anywhere else. Takes time, yes, is unefficient, YES, is annoying, YES, but hey, it works. The only pain left: level up the engineers! But hey, even this is working out. I also stopped turning at all, just straight up to 70km, turn, go out a bit further, align with Minmus, suicide burn, suicide brake -> refuel. It's like working with a sledgehammer, but it works.
  6. I've had no such issues yet, maybe because of I do not use FULL throttle all the time and even limited the solid fuel boosters thrustvalues. Well, someone who let the game play itself with KER, this is what you get without. You actually have to try, test and find out stuff by yourself, instead of letting a mod do everything for you and be like someone who's just watching a movie. A great experience, isn't it? Well, this is what you get, usually. Maybe really try to forget KER and play the game the way it is meant to be played. Trial and Error + experience after time. Believe me, after the third launch to orbit you do not need those extra info. Then altitude, speed and inclination is all you need to know where you are and where your Apoapsis is roundabout. Well, it does impact your craft. I had Valentina explode during reentry into the main atmosphere from roundabout 72km max height in her command capsule only. Was a nice little explosion & catastrophic failure. So far I'm quite happy with 1.0, it's like a fresh start with some new concepts while some old ones still work fine.
  7. Well, the website is up, just showing that info about server migration. Which is, technically, a website.
  8. Even without geography I can tell you where KSP hit most people, though it's more biology of course, since it hit them directly in the heart!
  9. 1.0 is like a fresh start, as a few years ago. So many new changes and things to consider. A lot of stuff will still work though, but hey, all the old crafts will not be used anymore. Time to build new abominations!
  10. Joined past me, has almost as many posts as me, and makes a party out of it. Welcome to the Forums!
  11. Well, back in time, when it was 2002 and we played DAoC, there was a simple saying: NEVER PLAY ON PATCHDAY! Be Water my Friends, 1.0 will come smoothly.
  12. Much more interesting would be how quick they release the very first patch to fix the issues with version 1.0, since never, really never in the past few years, any game stayed longer than 1 hour at version 1.0, hotfix inc!
  13. There it goes, the evolution ... from a sandboxy idea to some real 'game'.
  14. Well, more of an exploit is the usage of stationary landers on Mun and Minmus and maybe an orbiting spacecraft around Kerbin to repeat all those: 'plant flag on Mun' and 'plant flag on Minmus' and 'send Science Data from Minmus' and 'send Science Data from space around Kerbin' missions. Considering the costs of parts and your very limited resources on a very hard setting: seems legit.
