Plane pulls left

Recommended Posts

Does it pull left hard? Or just enough to mess you up as you travel the entire length of the runway? Sadly, we can't load your craft file unless we have the same mods.

Did you try lowering the friction on the front wheels to .4 or below, and raising the friction on the rears to 1.4 or higher? That should improve things.

no images, locked out of my Imgur. but COL is well behind COM.

The problem was probably bugged wheels, but after increasing the main gear's friction and decreasing the nosewheel friction, it seems to go straight. Your V Stab was also slightly crooked. I  re-positioned the main landing gear closer to the center of mass (where it's supposed to be, so you can take off more easily) and straightened the tail in addition to tweaking the friction. Also, do you really need two wings? I was able to fly straight and level with one missing!

Oh, and remember to use SAS

Images are almost always more useful than craft files-- even if people have compatible mods, it forces folks to get to a computer that can play KSP, download and install the file, etc.

You can post screenshots on imgur just fine-- note that imgur does not require any account or sign-in to be able to post a picture.  Just go to the site anonymously and upload a picture, it works just fine.

-- But on the other hand, that makes a plane more likely to fishtail, too. You need the draggy stuff to be behind the CoM to gain stability. The further behind, the more stability.

Yes yes, but don't worry! I set the nosewheel friction to .1 and the main gear to 1.6 or so. The original position of the main gear was all the way at the back, so was no way to rotate for takeoff. I re-positioned them just behind the CoM, not right on top of it.
