Mk1-2 capsule vs Mk3 cockpit

Aside from the off center and price, is there any other reason not to use the Mk3 cockpit as a capsule, or considered bad form?

I had recently created an Orion clone based on Mk3, and is debating which one to release. One has its ports centerized, while the other one look better.

Would like to hear from you guys which one you prefer.

When I was designing my Mk3 cargo SSTO a while back I briefly considered putting a Mk1-2 capsule on the front so that it could carry passengers, too. I test-flew a version with that configuration and it worked okay, but I ultimately decided to just put a fuel tank adapter on the front since the hatch location on the Mk1-2 meant that there was nowhere that I could put a ladder that would allow Kerbals to get on and off the plane in high-gravity environments (such as Laythe, where I hope to eventually send a variant of that design.) I never gave any serious consideration to the Mk3 cockpit, though, mostly because of its asymmetry. It's pretty important that I have a docking port available on my vessels' COM so that I can attach a tug to move them from place to place once they're in orbit.

I don't think I've used either one of them on an actual mission in my career save, although my preliminary designs for an Eve mission include one since it would allow me to put a shielded docking port on the top so that the craft can be retrieved once it reaches orbit (removing the need to give the upper stage enough dV to return home under its own power.) I don't see any situation (other than making a STS replica) why I'd use the Mk3, though.

I have tried to do successful designs with the mk 3 for rockets forever, but in the end I keep returning to mk1-2. The odd form factor and the terrible IVA rules heavily against it. I fly a lot of my missions with RPM in IVA view, and the monitors on the mk3 cockpit are at an angle and far away from the viewpoint.
