Please note that the license for the original mod is very restricted, it is CC-BY-ND-4.0

This is a bit odd.  The forum thread does have that license, but the original README distributed as part of the mod says "CC BY-NC-SA 3.0", which does allow modifications. The license terms ALSO explicitly state that no legal terms may be used to apply further restrictions, so presumably if @Krasimir changed his mind that would only apply to new versions of the mod, not the original one.

To add further confusion, the license on Curseforge is "CC BY-NC-ND 3.0", which again, is restrictive.

In this case where multiple licenses exist for the same content, all uploaded by the original author, what's the rule? Most restrictive? The one distributed with the material itself?

But I can see why you'd be hesitant and err on the side of caution regardless.

----

Anyway, looking at your MM config, it seems you forgot to increase the mass of your "handle type1a", presumably it should be 0.0085 as per the others.

Thanks for maintaining this mod.

Hi!

I installed this mod by CKAN to GameData\NEBULA\EVAHandRailsPack\*.*

But "KSP installation validation monitor" each start tell me I should install it in GameData/Nebula. :(

What is the reason of this message?

How to remove it?

I have those nine parts in VAB, mod is where it should be. What is wrong?

I use this part pack and I have no such issue. You'll need to provide a log file for support.

I'll test this tonite.  It's possible I made a mistake in a config file.

If it's  working, then ignore the message until I post again

I want to add:

I said this mad show nine parts. It seems three of six parts was doubled so it results with nine.

In suspicion for twice installed somehow mod... I delete it and all parts gone.

I look into archive and found this mod "in between" state. ;)

Hope you will fix it, linuxgurugamer. Best wishes.

I don't know what you mean by "in between" state.  I just looked at the zip, and it looks correct in there.

I also installed it via CKAN, and confirmed that there IS a problem with config file, but it only (sometimes) displays a message saying it wasn't installed correctly.  It can be safely ignored until I get an update out

But why some parts are doubled?

Is it supposed to be nine parts?

Ok, i see your confusion.

There are 9 parts, each with a different name, size & shape.  Read the descriptions, they are all different.  To summarize:

  • handrail EVA handrail curved 1mR, fits size 1 curve (1.25m)
  • EVA Handrail 2mR, fits size 2 curve (2.5m)
  • EVA Handrail 3mR, fits size 3 curve (3.75m)
  • EVA handrail type 1
  • EVA handrail type 1a, twice as long a the type 1
  • Handle type 1
  • Handle type 1a, twice as long
  • Handrail type 2
  • Handrail type 2a, twice as long

Sorry, I did not ask you immediately.

I know nothing about KSP modding, but shouldn`t this "size2" be "size3" instead?

%name = EVA handrail curved 3mR
...

%bulkheadProfiles = srf, size2 //It cannot be stack-attached, but it is meant to fit this radial size.
