Is it possible to import vessels from a save to DarkMP

So I wanted to set up a private DarkMP server to play with my friends, and I've got a question. I've played on another server, and I would really like to move the vessels from the other server, to my private server, but I don't know how. Is it even possible to do it? If so, please tell me.

HI,, if you have saved local copies of the ships then you should simply be able to copy the ships out of the saves/your-save-name folder/sph-vab  and paste them into the   new save on the new server

but these ships need to be in space. And I will only be able to have them in SPH or VAB, and also, I don't have the other ships saved, because they are not mine.

I used to play on a DMP server, my understanding is that you would need to get the other person on the first server to give you the ships with the "crafts" bar in the DMP tab, then in the files take them from the first servers save and put them onto your new one. Sorry if I misunderstood this, I hope it helps. 

Edit: I just understood what you meant. The only way to do that would be to base the server on the same save file as the first one, or quicksave teleport them there and manually remove fuel to create a "rough copy."
