.25 bug: "Small inline Reaction Wheels" have become tiny

Recommended Posts

(well obviously they can...)

Indeed, they can. The point is that there were two parts that (for quite a long time) were functionally identical except that one was heavier than the other. One of them was deliberately changed to a different size so this is definitely not a bug but a feedback/feature request.

Sorry still calling it a bug. It's listed as "small" not tiny. And they can't go making major size changes in components of ship I already have deployed. (well obviously they can...)

Sure we need a Tiny ASAS module. But we also need a small SAS.

"Small" and "Tiny" are community driven terms and are are completely subjective. There is no definition for "Small" and "Tiny" parts in KSP. This change simply makes sense for several reasons. 1. The two parts were redundant. 2. There was no probe sized SAS already. 3. It's better to change it while in early access then wait til the game is released.

If you want to fix any flights in progress, you should be able to do the following...

1) Make a copy of your save directory and keep it somewhere safe.

2) Open your persistence.sfs file with a plain text editor like notepad (do NOT use word or wordpad).

3) Search (Ctrl+F) for all entries of "sasModule"

4) Replace each entry with "advSasModule"

5) Save the persistence.sfs.

6) Load up your game in KSP.

You can also try the same with the quicksave.sfs, then just load it with the standard F9.

Good luck,

~Claw
