  1. So I am having problems with a rocket design. The modules are not attaching and I think the 2.5 service bay is the issue. The thing just falls apart in flight and isn't stable. Is there a known issue with the 2.5m service bay?
  2. Bob brought back 1000 science from my first trip to Minmus in 1.0!
  3. I thought it was silly that i was completing distance records in rockets! Jets should have to be used for distance records. And yes with the new aero they should have rebalanced visual survey contacts (specifically altitude requirements).
  4. *nevermind they fixed it* They need to hotfix the heatshield physics as discussed in another thread. That little mistake alone is probably responsible for more rage than anything else. Especially with new players.
  5. One criticism for now: Distance contacts should not be completed with rockets launched from the VAB. Makes them entirely too easy.
  6. Killed Jebidiah on his second flight(in 1.0). The capsule spun around midway through the reentry burn... He will be missed.

  8. From what i am reading Unity 5 is kind of a unicorn. Unity 5 would most likely kill all old save files. The Devs have stated their isn't enough time for Unity 5 conversion before their 1.0 deadline. Do you really think a developer would release a patch after full retail release that would kill everyone's save games? Possibly months after release? That would be suicide.
  9. I have finished the tech tree and only made it to Duna. That seems, wrong somehow. But i do want to visit every planet before calling it quits on .90
  10. I have used infinite fuel twice. Once to return from the Mun and then again to catch up to my first asteroid.
  11. So last night I spent too long trying to develop a Mk2 space plane that could carry 8 kerbals. No success yet. So i switched to something more productive and went back to Space Bus operations. I picked up 3 more kerbals from my Mun orbit station. Then I started rendezvous with my LKO fuel station. Time got pay me and i had to leave the Space Bus 80m away from the station. Next mission will probably just use a traditional rocket to pick up the Kerbals from the station. Then it will be refueling the Bus, adding some stuff t occur it and heading to Duna.

  14. I just find as a *game* it is very frustrating to have to abuse quick-load or the dang debug panel just to test your new design that seems more immersion breaking than a gravity test lab in a video game with little green men.
  15. I have been really wanting an easy an *story/career based* way to test low gravity vehicles. I think at a certain point in career mode you should be able to unlock a gravity test chamber. Basically a VAB with a gravity slider. Or You could unlock lower gravity and atmospheric settings in stages. The US Air Force employs atmospheric test hangars and to me this just makes sense. I get annoyed having to basically test everything on mission in space. I understand F12 allows gravity hack, but i don't think any player should have to use F12 just to test designs.
  16. That would be great. Would prevent the sudden 'backward slide' when your SRB's cut out. Losing momentum on a launch sucks.
  17. Either apply more gimbal to higher tier stock engines or introduce an STS line of engines with high gimble and use the existing code for the speed as stated. It is really silly that you can max the tech tree and still have nearly zero gimble ability.
  18. After reading some other threads, 1.0 needs to include new advanced gimbal rocket engines we can use to make real shuttles. Mk3 parts are not living up to potential due to lack of adequate engines. Also why are there no 3m> 2.5m adapters? There are all kinds of 2.5m> 1.5m adapters but nothing to allow for a triple Main Sail on a 3m tank.(that looks good without lots of clipping) And as i am sure others have stated: Some 2m SRBs!
  19. I finally mastered docking and rendezvous! That frustrated me for a long time.

  21. Jeb is currently manning the first Duna mission. A small station that was to land probes. However with remote tech i cant get signal to the probes. So now Jeb has to wait on a second mission to bring a lander. Bob and Bill are with him. I always give my Orange Suiters the first shot at everything.
  22. Last night i built and launched a space bus. It uses MK3 parts to hold 20 Kerbals. I picked up 5 kerbals that had been manning my first Minmus "base" for over a year. The base had enough RCS to get within 100m of the bus in orbit. Once the bus docked and everyone was picked up, the bus headed for the Mun. It is currently orbiting the Mun and will pick up some more kerbals there. Eventually the bus will go to Duna to take a new crew out to the station there and bring back my orange suiters! But the bus is not fit for atmospheric flight so i have to build a space plane to dock with it and shuttle people back to the surface of Kerbin.
  23. Disclaimer: I haven't read all ten+ pages. I don't know what all is planned for 1.0 1. Something small that can really ruin your day: no ability to adjust braking force in rover wheels. This has made me quick-load so many times over the past few days. Braking force slider on wheels is a must. 2. Transferring Kerbals through docking ports. Seriously why do i have to EVA to move Kerbals around connected compartments? 3. Engineers Report: should show delta-v and there should be a place in game to see required delta-v for each planet. 4. Do not delay 1.0 features like the aero overhaul!
