  1. Well. Kopernicus 1.3.1-7 creates even bigger problems for me. Back to -3 it is.
  2. In that issue all is already described. I'll try -7 as well and will report how it works. I send a request to be allowed to comment on the gdoc.
  3. Nice. worked like a charm. Thanks a lot. - If you give me permission to comment, I'll make some suggestions how to improve the instructions even further. (one thing: Better Kopernicus 1.3.1-3 than -6. the latter one is really not nice to the oceans.)
  4. Hi all, is there a explanation on how to install RP-1? - e.g., do we have to run perl to get proper tech tree? Where to find dlls etc. Thanks! Gustav
  5. New release? I was wondering whether there could be a new release of the main branch soon. - It is >200 committs ahead of the current release, and I am sure there are some great bugfixes in there. I could imagine quite a few reasons why it shouldn't be release, but I am just wondering whether there actually is a problem or whether you are just waiting for the perfect. Thanks! Gustav
  6. Let me answer myself: ckan worked like a bliss. No problems. I can only reccomend using it. (pro-tip use the Mechjeb-Dev branch and select the RO version of mechjeb.) Thanks to all who worked hard to make ckan versioning work fine! Gustav
  7. Install RP0 I managed to kill my installation of RP0. Also it got pretty old, and I have the feeling that a lot of mods are not 100% perfectly installed. (Especialyl now with 1.3 around.) Is there an easy way to install RP0? Does it currently work just out of the box with ckan? Or which tricks do you need? (Especially: How do you avoid installing 1.3 versions that don't run on 1.2.2 ?) Thanks in advance, Gustav.
  8. Did you look into the Kerbal Contruction Time thingy? I once had a simliar problem and forgot it was already scheduled in KCT.
  9. I really enjoy RP-0. It is however pretty sluggish. (running on fast processor, win7-64, 16GB) Are there any estimates around that show which mod is especially CPU hungry? I could do without a few of them if this speeds things up. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  10. Hi Xaovin, welcome to the forums! Wild guess: Maybe your TWR is too low or you take too long to go turn your spacecraft. I have flown to orbit from Mars, but cannot recall the delta v I actually needed.
  11. Good point. 20,000 km also makes multiple flyby's probably. much more difficult.
  12. Hi @ptr421, I don't get it. What's the problem there? Do you think that's too close? I didn't have any problems meeting this.
  13. Just to say thank you to @blowfish @NathanKell for releasing a new real fuels release! - I haven't had any problems with exploding cryo-tanks yet, but haven't tested much either.
  14. Great stuff @blowfish! I just realised that my last post might read as it I expected you guys not to release a 1.2.2 version. I didn't want to say that. I tried to say that I was a little concerned that possibly you might not do it. (English can be so indirect sometimes. Literal translations for German, where we tend to speak more directly and less polite can be misleading.) I am looking forward to the port and will just run the overheat cheat in any instances except atmospheric entry or re-entry.
  15. Hi, where do I find a relase for 1.2.2 with this fix? I am afraid @NathanKell et al. will release this only in a 1.3 version. Would be great if that fix was release asap also for those of us who cannot compile the code and are running RO for 1.2.2. - Thanks!!
  16. just a short feedback to SQUAD /( @Badie, I guess?): It is actually a little bit annoying to find an "ANNOUNCEMENT" that you have to totally read until you find out that there is nothing actually out yet, and we don't have a date. That is for me a somewhat annoying anti-climax. Please put this at the very top/subject line. Thnks.
  17. Thanks for the info. Also for setting the netkan up to correctly reflect that!
  18. Cool. Would you advise users of 1.2.2 to switch to this version? Or better keep with the old ones?
  19. FASA dependencies seem to be wrong. Hi, when I look at the latest FASA release (awesome mod, btw :)), it shows in ckan as compatible with 1.0.5. However, it has been released as compatible with 1.2.2, which also shows here: https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN-meta/blob/master/FASA/FASA-v7.0.ckan any idea what's happening and what can be done? Thanks in advance, Gustav
  20. @Kerbonaught, I believe you are right, avionics is a feature of RP0. RP0, BTW, is also already working (not flawlessly but playable.) In case the use of perl stops you, here a Tree.cfg file to download. https://pastebin.com/4zUXR7g9 (important: I am not 100% sure whether distributing this is in line with the licences. I believe so, but if not, please tell me, and I'll remove.)
  21. Experiences running RO on 1.2.2: Hi all, I just tried to test-install the RO-dev, and thought it might be helpful to give an overview on how I did it. - It was actually a lot less daunting than I feared. My steps where: get a clean KSP 1.2.2. Install ckan, and go to "settings->compatible KSP versions", check the boxes for 1.1 and 1.2 get the following mods from ckan: Advanced Jet Engine FAR KJR RealChute Real Fuels Real Heat Real Plume Smoke Screen ModularFlightIntegrator Real Solar System RSS Textures B9 Procedural Wings (I don't use it, so I didn't test this.) Connected Living Space Deadly Re-entry Filter Extensions Firesplitter Hangar Extender KSP Automatic Version Checker Procedural Parts RCS Build Aid Remote Tech Saturatable Reaction Wheels TAC Life Support Texture Replacer Procedural Fairings - For Everything Toolbar Persistant Rotation (I don't like this, so I didn't install) Community Resource Pack Community Category Kit 4. Install the following by hand, using the links given by https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19_dhwSioZODCCtMFD0kZOtbmbg--ryoE0nzoWJL2cRc/edit#gid=0 Realism Overhaul from https://github.com/KSP-RO/RealismOverhaul/releases/tag/v11.4.1 MechJeb from https://ksp.sarbian.com/jenkins/job/MechJeb2-Dev/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/MechJeb2-2.6.0.0-691.zip Procedural Fairings from https://github.com/e-dog/ProceduralFairings/releases/tag/v3.20 FAR (copy over the existing .dll) from https://github.com/ferram4/Ferram-Aerospace-Research/commit/13615120d6e519f1aea017717e0e51059b00e668 Test Flight from https://github.com/KSP-RO/TestFlight/releases/tag/1.8.0.0 I hope I got everything exactly as I installed it. I'll report more on how well this works. Gustav PS: Please be aware that the great people maintaining this mod, declar this as test! So complaining is discouraged. PPS: Thanks to all those working on the mod. Important EDIT: I revisited this and found that some of the mods in ckan will install a "stock" config file if they don't see Realism Overhaul as installed. Therefore I suggest to take a close look at those cases, deny those stock files and install the relevant mods by hand. - Sorry for not being more specific, I just don't recall which ones they were.
  22. I just tried testflight for 1.2.2. stock. Problem is, each time I go for longer distances my batteries and tanks die, e.g., long before I reach the moon. What can I do? Thanks!
  23. Thanks for the update. Since you asked: I am sorry to say the German names are horrible and don't resemble names in my melodious, yet easy to learn idiom.
  24. Adding small solid rockets to get the steeringless stages spinning helps a lot.
  25. Kopernicus has been updated. - This of course is not saying that RSS will or should be updated soon, but it means that it is now possible to do so.
