Will this mod work with KSP 1.2.2? If I can use this with realism overhaul it will be awesome.

Here's the thing: not much has changed between 1.3 and 1.2.2. This means that you can: a) Go on Steam b) Right-click on KSP and select "Properties" c) Click on the "Betas" tab d) Select the beta that you would like to opt into (In this case it's 1.2.2) Steam will then proceed to revert your current KSP to 1.2.2, and you will be able to get realism overhaul. As for the crashing problem: a) Check if your computer is x64 or x32 b) Check as you download: first download only the required mods, then run KSP. Then turn off KSP and keep doing the same with other mods. I too have a question: What is going on? I'm not sure why RO has been completely stagnant for half a year. Is it dead? Will we lose it completely with the next KSP update?

Let's face it: the current KSP skybox is absolutely hideous, and so much more immersion comes from a skybox that is completely pitch-black. There is a mod that I recall, which was able to: a) take the skybox and make it's brightness 0. b) take other objects and planets, showing them as dots in the sky, allowing you to actually spot satellites from the ground like in real life. That was an awesome mod, yet I cannot find it with the limited Google abilities that I have. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where it is/ what it's called?

Was that supposed to be sarcastic? Obviously it is. There are mods that give you the possibility of using weapons: Look at the parts in your unmodded save. Do you see any belts? Firing mechanisms? Parts that are twelve millimeters in diameter? Is your Communotron 16 bored through like a barrel? No, it's a perfectly average antenna. You can't make actual guns in unmodded KSP, so you have to stick with rocket propelled projectiles, or go the modding way.

So you want fake machineguns? Because if you want to make actual stock, belt-fed 50 cals or something, that is impossible.

I think you've slightly underestimated the size of the KSP map, you can throw metric megatons of trash into orbit and no one will bat an eye. Getting to the surface will be as easy at is always was.
