  1. It's a ladder thing: the guy was the wrong way up on them. He reached the top of the climb and appeared to be floating like so, this could be to do with the non-stock part that he was on. The collision box for it could be wonky.
  2. Granted, UKIP come into power and we're all screwed, particularly you because you came from another country. I wish you could vote against a party as an option if you don't want to vote for a specific party but want to make sure that another doesn't get in.
  3. Granted. The remaining countries are flooded with survivors, but the world is subject to mass extinction due to an extreme winter caused by the ash. I wish computer parts were cheaper (within reason, of course).
  4. Kerbal Attachment System has parts that are very useful for making cranes. You just need to know how a crane even works, which is the hard part in KSP. You want to be quick though, KAS is not on the Curse page yet and the Spaceport only has one day left before closing.
  5. You are aware that you can un-track them, yes? Just do this for all of the asteroids that don't enter the SOI of Kerbin. If this doesn't de-clutter enough, untrack all that don't go below a certain altitude (EG: 1000KM) or that are too inclined. That'll get through a lot of them.
  6. Congratulations! I remember when I first made it, that was when there was only Mun and Kerbin. It's really something special, right? Enjoy it while it lasts, landing on the Mun is no longer a particularly special achievement for me . Protip: Minmus is easier. Also, get to a new place as soon as you can, even if it means no return. Always alternate between different bodies for a change of scenery, otherwise some bodies get less exciting. Always a shame when it's no longer a special moment to finally land somewhere. I'm not trying to dishearten you here, though I might seem to be. Sorry. All I'm saying is: Relish in what you've achieved!
  7. Snap! Real kerbals land on their wings, right? But yeah, back when there was 1 planet with 1 moon, no landing legs, and a generally limited part range. SO much has changed. It's been great seeing Squad come along so quickly and successfully, they deserve their awards and their place in the Guinness Book Of World Records Game-thingy.
  8. Granted, but you tear a hole in space and time. I wish we knew 100% about how many alien civilisations there are and where they are, as well as how to get to them fast.
  9. Yeah, Rowsdower is the community manager, which is why you always see him posting anything to us. Basically, he's Squad's conduit between themselves and us (the consumers). I might be wrong, Rowsdower may market news about the game beyond the forums, but to my knowledge it's danRosas who handles all external stuff (with approval from HarvesteR). I'm kind of confusing myself here so this is a basic summary*: Rowsdower: Community manager - he gives us all the news about Squad and Squad's products, as well as relaying back to them our opinions on them and anything we have to say about it. He also generally handles the community. danRosas: Handles all marketing and anything involving Squad's products outside of Squad's domains (ie: outside of the forums, website, spaceport, etc.). HarvestR: Final approval/judgement for danRosas/Rowsdower. *From what I can assume. Don't take my word for this.
  10. Not necessarily, I don't think. I believe that they're OK to do it because the images they used are not subject to copyright, and the content is OK without consent because they are essentially reviewing a part of the game. Don't quote me on that though, I'm not a lawyer. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that danRosas handles all the publicity stuff etc. Obviously it would be taken to HarvesteR for approval, but Rowsdower could be kept completely out of the loop. Of course, something like this would probably spread about Squad like wildfire if they'd have known, so the chances are that they weren't even told that it would be in the book .
  11. I went to the desert for Jeb's holiday (for science, of course!): Oh, and then there's Jeb fooling around, doing his best cactus impression: If you look really closely, you can see that he's not a real cactus. Surprisingly, he's not the lopsided one in the background, blame the landing for that (unsurprisingly).
  12. I went to the desert! ... and became a cactus.
  13. I often combat the problem of the part being too tall by attaching fuel tanks to the sides of the craft that droop a little low. I attach the landing legs to these. EDIT: But keep in mind, the NERVA is not what you want to use for a landing stage. It might seem more efficient, but when you take weight into account it's most definitely not optimal for landing.
  14. That's the most asymmetric lander I've ever seen. I love asymmetric crafts, and no matter how hard I try I can never seem to build them. Free rep for the person who makes a tutorial for how to make an aesthetically pleasing asymmetric craft! (working title)
  15. Marketing in action. It's super effective! But hey, this is amazing news. Glad to hear of it .
  16. I'd love to have a joystick to use, but I sadly don't. I might get one at some point, but it's better to wait and get a £50 one that it is to rush and get a £10 one that is unsatisfactory.
  17. Wow. This thread has been enlightening. In all the time I've had Kerbal Space Program I've always called the little kermans by "kerbals".
  18. True, it's Obama's attempt at an American NHS, but you didn't like it because he said "you can have it, but only if you pay through the nose for it". The user below me is aware of the wreck that the UK is going to become when UKIP win these elections.
  19. True! The user below me lives in the UK and is dreading the inevitable reign of the UKIP racists.
  20. True. I have no idea of how to music. The user below me knows how to music.
  21. Debris, being all small and stuff. Looks nice when it burns :3.
  22. If it's the particle effects causing it, it's likely not a mod unless the mod tweaks the particle effects. It could be a combination of the two, or more even.
  23. I de-orbited some debris using a claw-thing:
