  1. I was using Editor Extensions Redux before and since 1.4.3 it has not been working. If there is a better plugin that works in this current build please shoot me a link.
  2. This is the first craft ive posted in almost a year. It's my rendition of the super obscure German concept Arado E. 555-10 Schnellbomber thing. She flies great and performs realistically.
  3. well it seems like 2,100 might be as fast as we can go. Id say getting as close to that as possible is a cool challenge.
  4. Installed cooling system already and still runs hot. Cannot change distance cause EER hasnt been updated yet. Blades are most thermally efficient part i could find
  5. @Exothermos Very nice plane!!!! Check out my Aurora on KerbalX, I got it really close to 1600(about 1575) and they look very similar, great minds think alike! I like your sleek fairing design.
  6. Would FAR eliminate some of the drag produced my my custom cockpit? It's limiting the aircraft's performance.
  7. I was exploring the idea of swashplates in game a while back but i could never get a working model. The engineering required is immense.
  8. I'm in 1.3.1. I was building stuff a few weeks ago in 1.3.1 and it was working fine. There must have been a micro-patch recently. My non-rcs-ball turbos seem to be working fine, have to look into it more later.
  9. Was wondering why my new RCS ball copter wasnt making any power and i guess you guys are having a similar issue. Is there any way to solve the 7 rad/s limit without removed the balls? This didn't seem to be happening before.
  10. Idk if you mean another engine or a contra-rotating prop. Another engine adds weight, a contra-rotating prop..... Well, good luck with that.
  11. We've started using RCS ball bearings instead of standard wheeless bearing or wheeled bearings. The RCS balls have minimum friction and you cn make them really compact. If the plane had wicked torque you can try a couple of things: 1. Lengthen the wings 2. Add a counterweight on one wingtip 3. Reduce engine RPM until you build up enough speed to counter torque with control surfaces 4. Add more ailerons. Adding more wing surface will also help with flight performance, you won't have to go as fast in order to take off. Once your in the air most torque problems are usually solved.
  12. That's what i was thinking. Give him a break he's been a little high on his horse lately....
  13. Just whipped this one up real quick. First beast i've got to fly in FAR and on that without reduced drag either The Elliptical wing actually does wonders for stability in FAR.
  14. KSP Economics.... You wanna use a Gman-built Thrust bearing u gotta pay 50 cents
  15. yeah exactly, everybody builds the same part but Azimech's is more reliable than Mine or Klond's can handle higher RPM than EpicSpacetrolls's. Finding the optimal design and then everybody just using that one as a sub-assembly would work wonders for build time and keep us from pulling our hair out.
  16. Standardizing basic components like bearings and props as sub-assemblies to make assembly of new engines easier. There could be different sizes and load tolerances and whatnot but i think a baseline standard could be really useful if the parts are reliable.
