  1. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 (10.0.14393) 64bit | CPU: i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz (8) | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M (2010MB) | RAM: 16282 When I press "PLAY" in the client, the status goes to "Launching" for 1/2 second, then "Running" for 2-3 seconds, and ... nothing. Button goes back to "PLAY" again. I can't even catch anything in Task Manager. I'd post a log file, but I can't find any. No "Ksp2.log" is generated. The only interesting new-ish file I can find is ".crash", and it's empty. But when I launch the game by running "KSP2_x64.exe" directly, everything starts up and runs beautifully, "Ksp2.log" and all. Not that I really care, I ran KSP1 outside the client anyway, made it easier to juggle mods and versions. I'm mostly missing "playtime" and possible achievements. KSP1 starts without problems through the Steam Client, of course. Win 10, latest Steam Client as of 3. Jan 2024 (reinstalled from scratch), KSP2 0.2.0.0.30291 (reinstalled from scratch).
  2. KSP is either heaven or hell when it comes to formulas and calculations, and to avoid jumping between KSP and browser-based sites and tools I recently bought an old TI-84+. To avoid errors I minimized the need to enter lots of values, and I've ended up with a program that calculates velocities, Delta-V, orbital period, and time in darkness by entering just Apoapsis and Periapsis and selecting the planets/moons from a menu. The program is inelegant and unoptimized, and the "darkness time" formula is particularly bad. I might try to squeeze in more functions in the future. All values are in meters and seconds. Link to Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/ZQmMfcfZ Most of the work has been done in TokenIDE and Wabbitemu. Problems: "Weird" characters often mess up copy-and-paste, so I've made some changes to the source file. Exponentials (ᴇ) have been turned into *10^(), and the variable store arrow (→) has been turned into ->. Minmus has been written as Min\mus to avoid it turning into Minμs. Using L2 as a label wasn't a good choice either. My results differ slightly from some of the online calculators I've used. I have no idea how to read the planet and moon Mass (and other) values straight from the game, so they're from Kerbal Space Program Wiki.
  3. That isn't my experience with version 1.8.33 and KSP 1.10.1. As long as the joystick is plugged in before I start the game, the previous calibration settings are intact. But if I start the game without the joystick plugged in, all calibration settings are cleared. Now I always keep a backup of the config file in case I mess up (again). Which is good, because it took a while to get the dead zones right. Also, be careful with the throttle. It tends to start at 50% on the first ship you jump to. Either shut down the engines or put a capsule on the launch pad to wake up the joystick input. And/or save often.
  4. First of all, this is a brilliant mod. I'm able to use my ancient Thrustmaster that's so old that there are no drivers that support anything beyond XP. But I have a request. There's a toggle called NavballToggle, which is good, but I was hoping for something to toggle the entire Navball on and off, not just change between surface/orbit speed. I need the Navball, but I also need to see as much of the screen as possible, so I keep toggling the entire Navball on and off all the time. Or is this already possible to do with the current setup?
  5. I ran into some version incompatibilities, but there was an easy fix. I'm still on KSP 1.9.1 (because that's the last sensible Kerbal Alarm Clock), and CKAN installed 1.8.3.4. I couldn't get it to work, it kept complaining about DllNotFoundException: libSDL2-2.0.0.dylib which didn't make much sense to me under Windows 10. Manually installing 1.8.3.6 didn't help either, so I reverted back to 1.8.3.3, which is the last before version update to 1.12. After that everything worked perfectly. I haven't tried any other versions of KSP. Oddly, CKAN can't find the installed 1.8.3.3 version, but since it works I don't really care.
  6. Is it possible to assign a priority to the different markers with this mod? The navball can get very busy when I'm chasing a target for rendezvous. Often I have the target marker, maneuver marker, and a direction marker fighting each other under the direction cursor, all in slightly different places, hiding each other at the worst possible moments.
  7. Is it possible to disable MAF under certain circumstances? Because right now I can't rename any vessels using the letter P without activating MAF. Anyone else have this problem, or is it just me? I've clean installed with no other mods. 1.2.2, x64, Win10, Steam Streaming.
  8. This is a great little add-on, the original sounds soon get a bit repetitive. And I love the historic aspect of the sounds. But personally, I just want the ambience, the same feeling of Kerbal chatter as the originals. So I'd be perfectly happy with random air traffic controller chatter, as long as it sounds the same as the originals. It'd be an inexhaustible source of raw material, and the overall sound quality should be roughly the same. Is there a way to more or less automatically process a large number of sound files?
  9. Very nice mod, it's now in my (fairly short) "must have" list. If I might make a suggestion: Turn on "balance" as default for any parts that are set to "symmetrical". I had some impressive flight instabilities when I switched on pumps without explicitly balancing symmetrical tanks. Took me a while to figure it out. Not a problem for me because now I know about it, but new users might be surprised.
