  1. If you need assistance in making EVE configs, chuck me a PM. I'm willing to help you.
  2. This is more related to addons, but at the same time is to the moderators and about the forum. Are custom licenses for addons allowed? As in, can we just come up with our own set of rules? I’m making a mod but I don’t want it to be uploaded onto other sites nor the assets being used for other mods (without my permission). I could do all rights reserved, but since there are modified versions of some SQUAD assets (planet maps), I obviously don’t want to do that. I was thinking of something like a CC-BY-NC-ND license, but that allows reuploads and reuse of assets (unless modified).
  3. Yes, that’ll work but you will also need the other city light textures (the closeup/detail ones).
  4. Thanks, I’ll take that into consideration. I’ll need some testers soon anyways to test performance and stuff, but not at the moment as I’m still working on the terrain (kopernicus hates me , trying to eliminate the fading between space and terrain but i’m not liking what i’m getting). If anyone is interesting in testing Komorfia give me a PM.
  5. Good job and no problem! I had to figure out how to make EVE configs myself by studying other packs; there were no guides or anything. So I’m glad I’m able to help someone else. Make sure to not redistribute this by the way, since SVE has a CC-BY-NC-ND license meaning you can’t destribue assets from there.
  6. Kopernicus.log can be found in the Logs folder, which should be located in the main KSP folder. Also we need KSP.log, not output.log
  7. Can you show us your GameData folder (a screenshot will do) and the logs? KSP.log and Kopernicus.log are the important ones.
  8. Do you mean like when you install OPM, the game just won't load? Or does OPM not add in the new planets? Or does Spectra not add clouds with OPM installed?
  9. No, OPM won't work with Spectra. I don't mean like it won't literally work, you just won't get any of the clouds and stuff for the OPM planets.
  10. Okay, firstly to increase the size of the lightning, you'll have to edit the actual image or texture file using something like GIMP or Paint.NET. As to the values... Is the X-axis for DetailSpeed. Basically, when you're up close to an object, a detail texture is rendered so it isn't blurry from the ground. DetailSpeed refers to the rotation/movement of the detail texture; how much the detail texture moves per unit of time on the X-axis. Is the same thing as number one, but is on the Z-axis. Is the actual rotation of the object or in this case, lightning. The first value is the X-axis, the second is Y-axis and the third is Z-axis. Since -2500 is in the second value, then the object will rotate on its Y-axis. Is the offset of the texture. The first value is the X-axis, the second is Y-axis and the third is Z-axis. Since 10 is in the first value, then the object will be offset by 10 degrees (I believe, or it may just be KSP units). Is the scale of the detail texture. The lower it is, the bigger it is and the more it is stretched and the higher it is, the more it tiles. Higher numbers mean that tiling is visible and looks unappealing, so it's better to keep it low. Is the light level of the object and represents how much it will glow in the dark. If you set it at 1 (which SVE already does), then the object will glow brightly in the dark. If you set it at 0.5, it will glow at ~50% brightness in the dark and if have it at 0, then the object will not be visible in the dark. Hope this helps!
  11. Red or orange would look nice but because Laythes sunsets are now red due to the more turquoise atmosphere, it wouldn’t really look nice at the terminator. But i’ll try making it a bit more subtle by decreasing the transparency.
  12. Hey guys. I'm trying something interesting and I would like everyone's opinion. I was thinking that Laythe should have aurora throughout the whole body, given the fact it is in Jool's Van Allen belt which if you're not aware, is a "zone of energetic charged particles mostly from solar wind". Since aurora form when said particles collide with particles in the atmosphere emitting photons, it'd seem nice and make sense for Laythe to have unique aurora as it's in the Van Allen belt. It might look a tad bit unrealistic, but in my opinion looks pretty nice. Plus, you never see green gas giants.
  13. No, don’t delete the KSPRC folder as that’ll make the terrain problem worse. Perhaps you should post this in the Spectra thread, and then the author may know the cause and solution.
  14. Yes, and so do us Kerbals. Link. Plus there are mods which show the view below, just like what NASA does.
  15. The updated version for BDArmory is literally in the comments of the thread.
  16. @PartiallyBurnt TR missing shouldn’t be the cause of your terrain being black. One thing could be that you may have accidentally deleted some from from the Spectra folder. I suggest reinstalling Spectra and see what happens. Actually, if i recall Spectra already includes KSPRC textures so you shouldn’t have to install KSPRC seperately.
  17. By the way, EVE still works in 1.6.1 and 1.7
  18. @Klapauciusyour advice is solid. But it's important to note that scatterer doesn't add clouds, that's what EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements does. SVE is a config pack for EVE, and so is AVP, Spectra, etc. Since said mods are only configs, they'll work in nearly any KSP version. As to the OP, Astronomers Visual Pack (the new one) and Spectra are my favorite visual mods for KSP as they are more eye-candyish and dramatic. If you're into more realistic and subtle stuff however, check out SVE. But by far one of the most beautiful packs is KSPRC. You will however have to do some modifications to get it working with the latest KSP version. I'd hate to self promote, but I'm also working on a visual pack, which you can check on my signature. You will also have to install the prerequisites or dependencies of those mods. You can find what mods to install on the mod page itself. Some other mods I'd recommend are RealPlume improves the exhaust particles from engines. Destruction Effects adds better particles when your ship gets damaged. Kerbal Crash Systems dents your ship and makes it leak resources when you crash. Collision FX adds sparks and dust when you crash into the ground. KS3P adds post processing to KSP. Chatterer adds those mission control sounds to the game. There are many more great mods as well, but those are what I currently have.
  19. Could we get your log files please and picture of your GameData folder? Otherwise, there isn't much we can do as we don't know the exact cause of the problem. When you mean there's a black screen after loading, is that before the main menu, space center or launching? And do you get any error messages on the screen or is it just black?
  20. Yeah I made new textures for all of the celestial objects, but haven't made any screenshots yet as I'm still working on the terrain/closeup textures. I also made new Scatterer configs meaning that all of the atmospheres are recolored but I'm not too happy with them at the moment since the sky is still blue at a relatively high altitude compared to the stock scatterer config. But I do have some screenshots of my favorite scenes so far. https://imgur.com/a/meWtjLD
  21. It would help if you shared your solution, so other people could fix it if they had this issue. I personally experienced this, and the cause was an improper normal map, but your case may be different.
