  1. But the computer is observing the Kerbal so it knows what to write in the save file, so it is either dead or alive.
  2. Every rocket has RCS fuel on board. (although that does not necessarily mean that it will have RCS ports on the first launch)
  3. Crew report upon Eve atmospheric entry: Feels like hitting a brick wall. Crew report upon Kerbin atmospheric entry: Feels less like hitting a brick wall. (Anyone remember the old atmosphere with the wall at 34,500m?)
  4. While on EVA on Eve: All you can see is Purple Haze. Upon sample collection from Minmus: Tastes like pistachio.
  5. I was thinking that the station lab would be a later game part. Probably big, expensive, and heavy too, along with somewhat high power requirements and a somewhat constant crew rotation (can't be too constant otherwise it would get tedious though)
  6. What if each Kerbal has a "lab science" value it can produce? If the Kerbal is in a lab that is in orbit and has enough power to function, science will be generated over a long time, slowly depleting that (or those) Kerbal's "lab science" value. Then once the Kerbal is out of science swap them out with another and return the spent one to KSC for a reset of their science potential. That would provide incentive for stations, and having a crew transfer vehicle.
  7. Oooh.....Perhaps have a somewhat large part (like a lab) that takes a bunch of power, but continuously provides science no matter how long it has been running. Maybe make it so that it produces more science either the farther from KSC it is, or maybe the vessel it is on has to be in orbit or something to keep them from being spammed around KSC, but I think it could work.
  8. You can just see the shadow of the ship peaking over the navball, I wish I had grabbed a screenshot earlier.
  9. To be more accurate, the most common bottleneck as far as I'm aware is the single core performance of the CPU.
  10. I am going to try dropping an orbit through that canyon. Sounds like a fun challenge.
  11. A better way to put it would be instructions per core per second. Or instructions per cycle times frequency, should be the same thing.
  12. I know, that is why I think there should be a generic text in sandbox. And then if feasible, experiments done in sandbox should produce a random science result that doesn't correspond with the values in career so that people can use energy in sandbox to beam data around.
  13. I'm thinking that maybe there should be a generic "Kerbal/container/part collected data" text when science is done in sandbox. Perhaps have it also give a random science value too so you can even spend the energy beaming it back to Kerbin. However, I don't believe that it should give an actual text result like career mode does, and that it should also give a random value so you can't scout out the best science in sandbox mode just to transfer that over to career.
  14. Accidentally made one of the hairiest ascents I've personally had. Imagine if Apollo had to flip the command module around and catch the lunar lander before reaching orbit. Here's a video, you can try watching the whole thing, but something went wrong either with uploading or rendering so about half of it doesn't work. I got the part where I have to catch my lander mid-ascent though. http://youtu.be/YWvAMrmDhJA?t=1m19s
  15. I wonder how long it took him to blow up Kerbin in this update.
  16. i5 2500K @stock 3.3GHz Radeon 7850 8GB RAM I think that's all that's really relevant to KSP. I run it maxed out and occasionally record. I also have a heavily modded game, I think I'm using close to 3GB of RAM just for KSP.
  17. I would hope for E also, science has no age limits.
  18. The station itself wasn't bad, but that antenna on the end...... It took two launches to put it up there, and then it took my station from being decent to fly near to just being an impossible lagfest. I actually had to abandon that station just because there was too much lag for me to get rid of that antenna.
  19. I tend to design in RCS tanks, but then never actually put any RCS thrusters on the ship anywhere.
  20. I wonder if anyone is doing something really bizarre, like r for up, 1 for down, f for right l for left....g is stage.....
  21. Launching Kerbhole covers. (not strictly space related, but it involved a huge explosion)
  22. Show him Danny2462 videos. Even people who haven't played the game seem to like them because of how ridiculous they are.
