With much fanfare and highly-priced snack foods, we present the following Commemorative Mission Logs from "Münshot 1".
-
LOTS of practice. I had the Station built in .20; with a fresh install of .21, I imported the .craft files from the old into the new, made a few minor changes and re-created the station from scratch. Was able to fix a few shortcomings/mistakes as well. Thanx for the compliments!

Hot off the presses, this week's prime story features the construction of Kerbalon Station and the orbital construction/crewing for the upcoming MÈ•n mission (which will be taking place once all the appropriate snacks are delivered).
-
That would be Jeb preparing for his dazzling rendition of "Me and my Shadow"

Greetings, and welcome to the forums....anyone with the name of one of my favorite bands ranks high in my book! I have to agree, the details are everything....so many times I've sent something up, only to realize I've forgotten something useful/critical (Rockomax large docking clamps on backwards was my favorite).
-
The hardware can address up to the full 4 GB, the limit will be imposed on the OS you're using, and the limitations of the Unity engine....32-bit app would need to leave some space available for the OS to operate, else it wouldn't work.
-
Considering that's right at the limit for any 32-bit program, you've hit the wall. How many/what type of plugins are you using; or is it a case of the rockets being too complex construction-wise (a.k.a. too many parts)?
-
Until lag issues can be fixed, how about having a simple Museum where select screencaps can be viewed as "art" hanging on the walls?
-
I can confirm it's clipped underground. Was able to view it while landing a rover near the area, had my viewpoint set underneath about .5km....as the rover came down, the Temple came into view from underneath, and as I rotated the camera to a more "normal" view I could see the terrain covering it up. Noted this with the Monolith north of the KSC as well.

Science in TV series and cinema
Xorth Tanovar replied to czokletmuss's topic in Science & Spaceflight
...and after downloading and watching the only episode of "L5", I'd say another opportunity missed. Looked like it had potential. http://www.l5-series.com/ Then again, Ellison's "Phoenix Without Ashes" was trashed by corporate types, it could have been so much more had the original vision been preserved. -
My lifters usually deorbit themselves, there's the occasional one that I'll have to "climb into" and do a controlled burn to bring it back down. I do agree with other posters, though...the spaceport itself gets cluttered easily, so I do delete those; Skorpychan has the right idea though, it may pay to build a space tug and bring the stuff back to my orbital station for re-use.

This. I can't say I "hate" mods, I've just made the informed choice that I would like to move with stock parts as much as possible and build up my skill with them. Experimentation has lead to some strange-looking methods of fixing construction instabilities and flight/control related issues; in time I envision that the game will feature components that mods currently bring to the game. I admit that I'm entertaining myself this way, and may have to re-learn with each Alpha update, but it keeps the dust off the braincells . That said, I do like the ISA MapSat pack, it adds one extremely useful tool that I can not only use for in-game nav, but I enjoy crunching the raw data with external utilities as stated in other threads. In my mind, it simulates that which JPL engineers/scientists do for their living but on a scale I can handle.

He's never met Fulgrim, then..... This is the flag I'm currently flying under, dates back to my days with Orbiter Solar Nations, the Coalition of Independent Moons... I had laid claim to Enceladus as my home world, with 11 other moons in my possession. And here it is, marking an interesting spot in Kerbin's Polar Highlands.

We called this a PICNIC error where I work, "Problem In Chair, Not In Computer" I'll backup my current folder, install and play with the new one, then flip back-and-forth between both if I see the need to compare. See if I can get the old savegame file edited to work with the new version; if not, then I'll re-accomplish the missions I've currently got (space station, orbital mapping at Kerbin/mun/Minmus, two Kerbin-based missions located near anomalies). perhaps redesign my station as to not be so wobbly. Looking forward to ASAS with less fuel consumption.

Space: 1999 Meta Probe (uploaded to Kerbal Space Port)

Like the ship.....absolutely LOVE your choice of soundtrack. Can't get any better than Barry Gray's first season score. -
They're Kerbals....if they run short, they'll have Jebediah throw random bits of the spacecraft into the reactor!

Congrats, you just made me spray coffee on my laptop! :D :D You've done Douglas Adams proud. -
Ah, I had a hunch there were minimum post levels. Thanx for the confirm!
-
Thanx! Dumb question on my part perhaps, but I have no ability to modify my sig nor add an avatar in these forums...is there a minimum amount of postings required?

Took the plunge and bought KSP after fast becoming addicted to the demo. Coming from a long relationship with Martin Schweiger's "Orbiter", I have found the light-hearted approach to space travel refreshing. Plus the ability to build spacecraft and test while totally in-game is a BIG plus. Also, I'm really looking to the upcoming Career mode; I can only hope it compares favorably to the classic "Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space".
