  1. He is working on the game, when he is done WORKING FOR A LIVING.... he will, I am sure, release a new version of mechjeb... but I wouldn't blame him if he said "screw it"... because everyone thinks he OWES them something.... have you ever thought about just saying thanks to him for a job well done? BTW..... PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD.... its confusing having TWO threads of the same post in TWO areas.... lock it and have a link to the other thread....
  2. Well, see... there is your problem.... "A significant number of well known developers left the project...." 1) You have no idea how many developers have actually joined the project lately... in fact, a recent post suggests far more than have actually left... 2) They may well have been well known, but that is life, you STILL do not know who joined, and till you see their work, or give them some time to make their mark, OF COURSE they will be unknown... but that doesn't mean that in 12 months time they wont be famous for being masters of their craft by the entire KSP community... its actually NOT FAIR... repeat... NOT FAIR to judge a developer on how well know they are... the quiet ones still on the project may actually have done more than the .... "loud' ones... You say you are dismayed... what would you have them do... lock them up as slaves and work on the project, accepting substandard work because they don;t really want to be there any more? They can only give so much, and they have... and now, they feel the best thing to do is move on.... and they are... that allows NEW BLOOD to come in... new ideas. new approaches and new ways of doing things to come in.... as with anything.... ITS EVOLUTION.... if the game doesn't evolve, then it WILL DIE.... the fact that KSP is evolving bodes well for all of us, they have already mentioned a few new things planned... expansion packs for example... which tells EVERYONE the game is far from dead, and certainly isn't at any risk of dying any time soon.... - Maybe rather than post your doom and gloom, you remain silent IF YOU CANNOT POST ANYTHING NICE TO SAY... The fact that 1.2 is nearly here isn't good enough for you? You're the only one saying its dead... seriously???? I suggest you ask the moderators to change your name to "Chicken Little".... especially if you think the sky is falling.... FYI.... it always starts with ONE.... you say the game is nearly dead... someone believes you and starts saying the same, then four... then eight... etc etc.... and then they announce the game is dead because people have stopped supporting it.... whereas had you kept quiet.. the game will never die because it will always be supported... Right?
  3. (sigh) Does it sound like they are disbanding? You make it sound like some conspiracy theory... next you'll be saying the KSP is just a game and nothing more.... And the Mun landing was a hoax.... I'm happy to wait till the 11th.... BUT.... expansion packs??????????????????? That sounds like DLC ..... wow.... does this mean Aliens?????? (dammit, now I'm sounding like Bandus! Onwards, Kerbal-peeps... to the 11th.... infinity and beyond...... (ahead warp fact 9 Mister Sulu...) yes.
  4. Go to YOUtube and enter "KSP wobble" into the search... while most don't exactly relate to your definition of the problem, you can see that its been around since before...well.. for ever. Earliest video I found was for version 0.18 and it seriously had me wanting to smash my monitor... the good old fun days... but compared to now... those days are gone THANK GOODNESS!
  5. And we keep on saying the same thing... its not really a bug... its a game physics bug that has been around sine the very early days.... Its like in real life, you stack 20 barrels one on top of each other and then try to walk with them... the same thing happens in the game. In your original photo, the strong point is the bottom... but each tank you place on top will be "lose" ... you need to strut them or work it so they are connected in some way with the strong point, in this case,t he tricoupler. So... again.... its not a bug.... and chances are it WILL be present in 1.2 and all future versions till they decide to expend effort and fix it... but seeing as everyone knows about it and uses work arounds... its not a big deal. Over and out.
  6. Wow.... use your mouse to move the view... cockpits from famous planes.... pick one, click on it and have fun.... http://vr.museumofflight.org/ Here is my favourite.... B29 tail http://vr.museumofflight.org/b29_tail
  7. Then use the proper area and submit a bug report. As stated, it couldn't hurt... they will either tell you what we did... or investigate. No point going round and round in circles... we offer help, you go on and on about us being wrong... So.... lodge a bug report. This thread should be locked.
  8. Then take care where you place them. I've been aware of this since the old days... others have as well. It can be strutted and there should be no explosions.
  9. This is why you need struts... while they appear to be "joined" in the VAB, they really are not. You notice this as well with space planes.
  10. At least we are getting closer to the United FEDERATION of Planets....
  11. Not the point... that was a gift, you're going to take that gift away from me next birthday... Well, no thanks needed... Google is my friend... it translated it for me.
  12. Well, it makes sense... the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics .... Soyuz means "Union" in Russian.
  13. Seriously? On my Birthday? You would END one of my favourite topics on my birthday... why not just shoot me, it would be quicker! I feel the thread should evolve.... you have done the past... why not use this thread to give advanced warning for future launches and accomplishments ... and posting newly discovered astronomical facts / photos... I'd like it if I had advanced warning of a launch so i could watch it online... OR... warning of an eclipse or whatever... This thread should not be allowed to die... it should live on... you should be made the curator of the thread for life.
  14. Worry not, friends, fret not even.... for I have the information you have been seeking. I can tell you exactly when it will be released.... answer: This decade, for sure. No.... no need to thank me for the info, I was glad to share it with you all.
  15. Why? Am I that bad company.... do I have... B.O.??? Tell me, or I'll use you as a punching bag again..... honestly, I thought you enjoyed helping me get into shape for 1.2....
  16. Errrr Hello... yes, sorry, we forgot all about you. As such, sorry to say, release 1.2 was...errr.... released about 5000 years ago. We are now waiting for version 74102216.6.0 to be released.... in a week or two. Your old computer wont run the new version, you need a super computer running 200,000 cores at the speed of light running Win AI Hal 9999 to run it now. OH... BTW, welcome back... here is a coffee to help you wake up.
  17. Wait.... what? Seriously??? You offer to make a mod ... a HARD mod.... and now, you say you don't know how and anyhow, your computer is too old.... seriously?????? That was a few minutes of my life read this thread that I will never get back,....
  18. so, let me see.... if I start a new sand box game and set the set up to 20% atmosphere density then.... that is fine?
  19. Well, seems we were both right. In my defence, I'd say that normally, in such a major update... from 1.1.3 to 1.2 ... NOTHING previous to 1.2.0 will work... (well, MAJOR mods only... minor mods that do minor things are fine, most times...) Where the mod taps into the game always seems to change in major updates... still.... ....I'd say you got off lightly.
  20. THIS!!!!! Just THIS!!!! If you get too hyped up, then you're going to be disappointed big time... and maybe even angry.... While its good that the bug hunt continues... its the ones they don't find that will irritate the most out of everyone... And that is not an attack on the game devs or those involved in the massive bug hunt.... sh*t happens... y'know..... so.... I'll take the ferry.... and I have a good book or two... a deck chair... lets hope there is sun... and ...read and relax while the ... others.... get all super hyped up.
  21. To me, they wouldn't be bugs... they would be features and things I was using or doing wrong.... so... grats to them.
  22. to answer you, I don't know, but I'll think about it and get back to you... k? OH WAIT... you weren't actually referring to me when you said "the brightest minds..." ..... damn.... as you were. Nothing to see here, move along... its just an ego deflated Kiwi.... move along.... thank you....
