When it throws the error, if you hit details, the first line in the exception box will tell you what mods require it. Uninstall those via ckan, manually uninstall module manager, then reinstall the previous mods. MM will be installed as a dependency. I had to do just this tonight. - - - Updated - - - Kerbal Engineer and Contract Configurator say they are up to date in Ckan, but when I start KSP, I get a message that there are newer versions. How do I get ckan to see these new versions so I can install them?

jarmenia replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It was user error. I haven't use CKAN before now and didn't actually install the mod, just checked the box. Once I installed it everything shows up correctly. Thanks for the help.- 557 replies

[1.4.x] Contract Pack: RemoteTech [v2.1.4] [2017-08-27]
jarmenia replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
In career mode, when do I start seeing RT Contracts? I've unlocked electrics and probe cores so I would think I should be seeing them now.- 557 replies

OK Thanks!

Same issue with KOS I assume?

Can someone tell me what issues RT has with MechJeb?

Unlike the more common Unplanned Rapid Disassembly that normally happens in KSP, Jeb had to perform a slow unplanned disassembly to reduce the weight of his lander to get enough delta-v to get back into orbit. https://jarmenia2.prizmshare.com/view/slow-unplanned-disassembly#

What is the purpose of the built in hold times during launches.

Ahh, thanks for clearing it up. -
What is the purpose of the built in hold times during launches.
jarmenia replied to jarmenia's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Well I've heard them referred to as a planned hold, which is why I am confused about them. If they weren't planned, what you suggest would make sense. -
Why do they stop the count down for say 20 minutes as a planned hold? If the launch is scheduled for 9:00 and at 8:20 you are at T-20 and start a 20 minute hold, the launch is still 40 minutes away. Why don't they just keep the countdown going and just not have any activity for those 20 minutes of the countdown?

Using FAR, how do I know when I've hit Max Q
jarmenia replied to jarmenia's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks for the response. Its not the flipping I am worried about but instead the rocket exploding because of DRE and FAR if I'm flying too fast in the lower atmosphere. -
After several hundred hours, I finally put a Kerbal on the Mun.

LOL Nice!! -

I did this without MechJeb as well. Of course, something did go wrong, I forgot to put a ladder on the lander. Luckily the jetpack was strong enough to get Jeb up to the capsule door. -
Hi RoverDude. I love all the stuff you've done with the MKS and Karbonite systems. Thanks for all you've done.
One question I have is if you will be adding hatches to the inflatable kerbitat domes you mentioned in your thread a few days ago. I'm just wondering if I should wait to try and fofill my munbase contract or if I should try and come up with a new plan.
Thanks
John

Karbonite - how to get the mini drill to work
jarmenia replied to jarmenia's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Sorry, here is a link to a picture. I think I have everything I need as the normal drill works fine. I've attached the mini drill via KAS. - - - Updated - - - From what I can tell, the issue is I can't start the drill. If I put the large drill on the ship, I can start it and mine just fine. -
I'm trying to use MKS to complete one of the "put an out post on the mun" contracts. It doesn't seem that KSP treats the MKS inflatable kerbitats as being able to support Kerbals. Am I doing something wrong, does MKS need to be updated to all me to use these to complete the contract, or is there something else I am missing here? Pictures here
