  1. Today I launched Kerbal Space Program. For the first time in almost 2 Years! So to commemorate I built this plane "Airbus K520 Passenger Plane" It's still in development. But I am hoping to post it on the Craft Exchange section in a few hours. https://imgur.com/vWmRT4h
  2. Stock all the way! QA Tester, so mod free install for me (Mods would only complicate the diagnostic process.) When we have release builds. 1.0.4 for example, I on occasion will install graphic mods on a second installation of KSP. My favourite are EVE, Interstellar, Planet shine and Scatter.
  3. Everything: It clearly needs more builds. Aka struts.
  4. Voted - Other. I play specifically at 2560x1600 Fullscreen. Graphically KSP doesn't stress my PC with a default installation. But one I add in some mods I't can have an affect on performance.
  5. Will regret, I have to agree with you regarding AMD. All there latest products in my opinion, are over-hyped, under-performing, and expensive. I am using 6970's in Crossfire (See Sig.) And next year will be in the market for another 1 or 2 cards from either company (AMD/Nvidia.)
  6. Sounds great too me... Especially since Kerbal Space Program is available on PC's already (Windows, OSX, MAC) and soon PS4 and Xbox One versions will be released to the masses. This can only benefit Squad, and most importantly give KSP the popular platforms to reach millions of new customers. Think of all the kids, and big kids that get to learn rocket science in a fun, educational manor with explosions on there £300 consoles. Fun for all the family right in your living room, just like Mine-craft. This is an exciting time to be a KSP fan, and a gamer regardless of platform. And I can't wait to start getting my hands on the latest Windows + XONE QA Builds.
  7. Yes is happening! I haven't ordered yet! But I think I might order two plushies (One for Desk, One for Car.) And a T-shirt. Depends on the final design; and a Val plushy would be so cool too. Please make it happen Squad.
  8. Capt'n'Skunky! How have you been old buddy? It has been too long, since you where last on the forums (You have been missed, old friend!) Do you still play KSP when you get some time? May your Rockets fly Far and True...
  9. After 3 years, I have only now succesfully learned to dock. Granted I learned with two large space stations, each weighting over 100Tons, and have been doing it every day, to improve my technique... An amazing sense of achievement. And no innuendos..
  10. Started playing KSP around July 2011 (Version 0.7.3) Random Google search, in a period of boredom + depression; I stumbled upon a discussion thread for a game called Kerbal Space Program, on the overclockers.co.uk site. Instantly loaded a few YouTube video's, and though it looked cool. Quick download + play, and I was hooked too the cute green Kerbals + explosions, as I helplessly tried to take-off. 3+ years later, and I am still in love with the game, explosions, community and the Kerbals... Thanks Squad, for the great community; And a light, during a dark period in my life.
  11. Selected 1000+ parts. With my i5 its possible, but I rarely ever build craft that big. I prefare small and functional with 50-250 been a typical craft size. Typical heavy lifter is 500+ parts.
  12. Please make a plush Kerbal teddy about 7-15cm in height.. I have been wanting one since forever. It's great having a "My other car is a rocket" sticker; But I want a Jebadiah Kerman plush kerbal co-pilot, when I am in my car.. Please make it happen Squad.
  13. Hello and welcome to the Forums. Congratulations on your first of many successful Circular orbit's, and may they lead to great things. Truthfully there is no feeling like the first; Orbit, Mun Landing, Jool Fly-by, or lithobraking.. It is the reason why myself and so many others have all fallen in love with KSP. See you out there brave explorer, and Happy Launching.
  14. As a life long fan of Star Wars... I have grown up to having the franchise expanded onto many different mediums; And mostly with great excitement on my part. As for the Original Trilogy (Most loved, by Adults.) I will always love Episodes 4-5 the most; Especially Obi-wan, Han Solo, Leia + Darth Vader's characters. (Luke was a cry baby.) But I have to admit, I absolutely loved the prequel movies, more than the original's. (I know, I am in the minority, in that regards.) I appreciate that it was severely over-hyped, and especially lacking in (Return of the Sith.) But the other two where far better. Help'ed with an excellent cast, doing a very admirable job, creating/re-creating key characters for the eventual event's leading too the original movies. Again, my thanks goes to the actors/actress for Qui-Gon Jinn, Young Obi-Wan, Padme, Mace Windu + Yoda. And the epic Light Saber fights. As to the matter at hand, regarding The Clone Wars: I initially found it hard to watch, with different CGI + voice actors. Re-creating the main characters again; when compared to the Prequels movies. But over the 5 season's, I have grown to love it. I make the decision, quite easily as I have gone to great length's, to watch/read/interact with many different forms of the Star Wars content, so have learn't it's impossible for character portrayals to be carried perfectly from one media/medium source to another. For me + possibly, the best decision made, with the release of The Clone Wars, was the introduction of the Character Ashoka Tano. (I also accept, there is great controversy, regarding this. But where all entitled too our opinions.) Kid's (That also include's us adults.) Get to experience the Clone Wars, through the eye's of a young influential Padawan, who is charming, witty, and at later stages of the show, seem's to teach Anakin, important lessons of life and been a Jedi. I enjoyed the show so much, I look forward to watching Season 6, only after watching Season 1-5 again. (And I hope Ashoka's character get's to continue in some form in the future, and not exclusively in the Clone Wars.) I am also thrilled to know, that Rebels is been made to tie in with the new movie's. (I am dubious, about making a TV series completely from new characters; But I'll watch it with an open mind.) As for JJ Abram's at the helm of the new movies, I literally cannot wait, like a kid in a candy shop. My excitement is getting the better of me. I strongly recommend members watch the Clone Wars, and if you can read many of the books, they really help to make the Star Wars universe great. My favorite books by far, is the Darth Bain series or Darth Plagueis book. - May the Force be with you.
  15. Only just found this thread. Talking about late to the party... I am a 0.7.3 build veteran. Still brings back great tears of joy, remembering all the times I killed Jeb, Bill, Bob in ill conceived sub-orbital towers of doom/rockets (In my defense, struts weren't added at that time.) Sadly I don't have the old builds on my hard drive. Too all our brave astronauts, that have come and gone before our time.
  16. Selected Stock Only (No Mods) That mainly for personal reasons, I just prefare a stock game. There is also the small element, that I am on the QA Team, where running stock parts only is essential to good testing of the base game. I have dabbled with some Mods, Far + B9 for the better plane simulation, in a second folder of KSP; But it didn't stay on my hard drive for long.
  17. I don't often lurk in the Welcome Boards. But when I seen Jguy's, thread title, I couldn't help myself; This place is awesome. Well as a season veteran too, KSP. May I extend a great big welcome, to are two new members (Preferably, without Jeb at the center of the explosions.) May you both enjoy 0.23 when it gets released; And happy launching.
  18. Hello an welcome to the forums. That's one nice system. But I strongly recommend overclocking your Haswell. Should do 4.4 - 4.8GHz nicely, an KSP should support 500-600 parts in doing so. Happy Launching.
  19. So to conclude my pc calamities. The motherboard arrived late last night. With much care, sweat an sore eyes; I rebuild the system. First boot consisted of just 1x 4GB of the older RAM. An was a success. Second boot was 4x 4GB of old RAM. It too was a success. Since then I have stress tested the system at 3.4GHz (stock) with Prime95 for 8 hours, without issue + 2 hours of Mem Test. Again the system remains rock solid, if warmer than before. Max is 50C + Min 46C at 1.25 Vcore (Auto) Before leaving for work this morning, I overclocked it too 4.4GHz. Prime 95 was stable before leaving with, Max 61C + Min 55C at 1.380 Vcore (Auto again) This is a great result from the new motherboard. Shame the original supplier refusses RMA; Got a nice paper weight I guess. The extra RAM 2x 8GB, will have to be returned. An I shall be back too KSP tonight. Thanks for members advice an listening, Regards Seanoog.
  20. To continue where I left off last. I have had a stroke of bad luck; While the CPU was out, my dad clumsily caught his nail on two more pins. While re-inserting the CPU, one of them snapped under the load... of the CPU + retaining bracket. After much arguments, an colourful language; I have had to buy more parts: Asrock Extreme 4 Gen3 Motherboard. Corsair PC1600 RAM (2x8GB) 1.5V. The Ram arrived this morning; But I am impatiently waiting for the Motherboard. I hope with the new Motherboard, I can successfully test if the original ram module or modules are faulty, if so they'll be returned for refund. An I have new ram, that will work much better, an perhaps give better over clocking. An with the same motherboard, I know my way round the BIOS quickly; Beside's it is a very highly regarded board for over clocking. So hopefully in a day or two, I'll be back to piloting Kerbals too there doom...
  21. After further testing, an stripping the pc again. I read an artical that suggested removing the heat sink, an checking the motherboard pins (LGA motherboard) On inspection, I notice one slightly off (less than perfect), but the cpu, deffinity has the contact mark, so its making contact. I'll try an upload pictures (on my phone); But what do I do now? Work with it, or order another motherboard?
  22. An update too my testing. Sal_Vager, made me aware of a document, regarding Mem Test, an how it creates error or Crash's, can help specify what parts are failing/faulty. For reference: Test 1-4: Memory Allocation. (Error or Crash's, are symptomatic of Faulty RAM Module's.) Test 5-8: Memory Access. (Error or Crash's, are symptoms of fault Memory Controller. Or my i5 2500K Processor, where the controller is located.) With my new found knowledge. I redoubled my Mem Test Testing, an my brief results are as follows. 4 Dimm's. Stock volts (1.5V) 23 error's Test 3 (Writing, an the re-accessing saved information, was retrieved incorrectly.) Crash Test 4. = Obviously with the Memory, been undervolted, it wasn't able to access the information correctly. 4 Dimm's. XMP Profile Loaded. PC1333 Set. Forced 1.65 Volts. Test 3 Completed successfully. Crash Test 4. = All evidence showing that 1 or more modules are faulty. I am presently in the process of retesting all Dimm's individually again. Which I expect them to all pass like before. This will again put me back at a cross road. Is it RAM or Motherboard thats faulty... I am considering buying new RAM/Motherboard/CPU an testing them incorporation to my present specification, it might help identify faulty parts, as the system may stabilise.
  23. Hello Kerbalnaughts. I hope I can enlist the help of our large community, with a computer problem I am having. Detailed Specification: Dell 3014 (Display Port) Dell 2407 WFP (DVI) Thermaltake Cooling Block Intel 2500K (3.3GHz) Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 (2.3 Firmware) Corsair XMS3 PC1333 1.6V (4x4GB) ATI Radeon Toxic 6950 2GB (Unlocked to 6970) x2 OCZ XZ 850W Modular PSU OCZ Vertex 4 256GB (Sata3) x2 Samsung F3 1TB Samsung F4 2TB Samsung Blue-Ray Burner. For the past few weeks, I have been running stock, with the excessive heat outside. But the past 3 days my computer has been failing to Post (Power On Self Test) Failing in typical Asrock standard, with 4 Beeps, an error code 55 (Memory Not Installed)? Considering Code 55 (Memory Not Installed) is impossible, because there is four sticks of memory. I have also arranged the memory, in the following configurations, to test if the memory is faulty: All four sticks individually rotated (Slot A2. Recommended for Single Channel 1 Dimm operation.) All POST'd fine, an completed 1 loop of Mem Test, an was Prime 95 Stable (Stock Frequencies). = Suggesting the individual Ram modules are fine (Not faulty.) All four sticks together. Occasionally pass's POST. But fails within minutes of Mem Test, Prime 95. = Mem modules may not be operating as intended in groups, or under stress. Stick 1-2. In Slot A2+B2; Recommended for Dual Channel. POST'd, but failed Mem Test or Prime 95. Stick 1-2. In Slot A1+B1; NOT Recommended for Dual Channel. POST'd, but failed Mem Test or Prime 95. Stick 3-4. In Slot A2+B2; Recommended for Dual Channel. POST'd, but failed Mem Test or Prime 95. Stick 3-4. In Slot A2+B2; NOT Recommended for Dual Channel. POST'd, but failed Mem Test or Prime 95. = Ultimately I feel that the memory is fine; Perhaps undervolt'd. With it been 1.6Volts, an most Sandy Bridge chips only like 1.5Volt memory. Stick's individually work fine, but once parred (2 or 4 Dimm's) the system become's very unstable. Has members any advice or idea's or experience, why my system is becoming unstable? My memory has a Life time warranty, an I dont feel there at fault, while the Asrock motherboard is notorious for having this problem with both Sandy Bridge + Ivy Bridge chips, unfortunately the MB is now outside warranty, so I'd need proof its the culprit, to RMA with etailer.
  24. Hello an welcome deepsheep. As a long time player of KSP, I can highly recommended a Joystick as a worthy accessory. Also consider a Trackball mouse, to compliment the joystick. Nothing worse than your right hand piloting the craft, an your left hand unable to move the camera. Happy Launching.
  25. Thank you. You made my day with your observation of Kerbal Engineering. As for the QA question. I'd love to expand on what our team does specifical. But I am subject to a NDA.
