  1. 6S Service Compartment Tubes (SCT) It's a tube.. and a hull... and a cargo bay... and a.. well, just about everything. And it is only 2 PARTS!!! For Kerbal Space Program. By zer0Kerbal, originally by @nothke adopted with express permission and brought to you by KerbSimpleCo Introduction by Nothke Why “6S”? Simple, Sturdy Stock Styled Seamlessly Stackable It’s so short! It’s useless! I’ve modeled it so that spherical RCS tanks could fit inside. Most of the other stuff like mechjeb, flight engineer etc, are not bigger than spherical tanks and they can all fit inside.. Together. If you need more space.. Just stack them!!! (check the pictures for tricks) Also, when stacked to double, the 1x1m structural panels fit right inside! Just put whatever you need on them There seems to be a door, but I can’t open it! You can only open the door manually during EVA (no servos I’m afraid, to keep it reliable and simple), so you can pick up or leave bags or KAS stuff you store inside. Also useful when transferring fuel from the tanks inside (you could do this on the other hand by zooming the camera inside the compartment, although this might be wonky and frustrating). Any future plans? There are some texture quirks, so I might do an art pass later on. I don’t plan adding more parts. The tubes appear first in “general construction” in the Tech tree cause before that, you practically have nothing to put inside. Thanks to Snjo for Firespitter, and well, listening to my irritating ideas xD The firespitter.dll is bundled in the pack. If new Firespitter versions appear you should freely overwrite the old one. 2. I came across this .gif on the internets. Is it a fancy mock up, or is there some mod that adds this kind of functionality? https://i.imgur.com/Gl6lKVk.gifv
  3. I've just noticed that the Place Anywhere RCS ports radially attached to the 2,5 Service Bay don't work when the bay is closed. No matter where you attach it, inside or outside and if you used angle snap or not. Is there a reason for this behaviour?
  4. OK, I'm trying to build a Tellumo to orbit vehicle. To those of you that haven't got Galileo planets pack, think of Eve, but with an oxygen atmosphere and vegetation. Very pretty it is too, but the challenge of getting out of that gravity well justifies extreme measures. Mark 1 cockpits get too hot, and mk2 and 3 are just too heavy and draggy. So for the first time I'm resorting to putting a command chair inside a mk1 bay. Is there a way to do this that doesn't result in body horror/nightmare fuel/invoke the kraken when clicking the "leave seat" button? Anyone got a finished subassembly? I've tried mounting the seat so the head end faces out the open hatch, but i think the helmet gets stuck on the rim. I'm positioning the seat as far back as possible without any of the tubing it is built out of clipping through the rear walls or floor of the bay. When seated, nothing pokes outside.
  5. Anyone know if there are any mods that add relatively short/flat cargo bays? Sometimes I want to just add a small bay to e.g. a return capsule for some instruments/batteries/etc but there's no way of doing that without radically changing the dimensions of the vessel since the existing bays are so tall. Anyone know if any mod can help me out here?
  6. Hello citizens of the KSP forums! Here is the place to post any craft that can fit in either a 1.25 or 2.5 meter service bay. The post only needs to: Have at least 1 image Be either a: Rover Plane Spaceplane Boat/sub Or any combination! I'll start off with my own craft, the "creatively named" V-tilt Mk1!
