  1. Latest Post - OLV-1 Shuttle Introducing the brand new OLV-1 (Orbital Lift Vehicle) Shuttle, this shuttle uses the new making history DLC and can carry payloads in orbit with ease. The front and bay docking ports also allow the shuttle to dock with space stations easily to transfer materials. The large 5 piece bay can be retrofitted to carry a large variety of payloads from crews to probes. Video Download The Model Family: Model 1 Model 2 Model 3 Model 4
  2. What does spring force in the suspensions do and how does it work? The suspensions are active so how does that affect it? edit: if it has an auto suspension, it should change it on its own, but it has a spring force bar so what does that do? If you set it low enough, itll bottom out, but I cant get it to go above half way. Also, does the auto suspension run all the time or just when you start or the rover changes? And is the damper the number you can find on wikipedia, where 1 = no extra bounce, higher equals really slow 1st bounce, and lower equals some extra bounces?
  3. Hello everyone. So I'm a HUGE fan of racing, as you may know, and I'm creating a racing series. But when I'm setting up the cars for the race, I'm continually confused on one very important thing: Suspension. I know the wheels have settings for this (I mainly use the TR-2L for 90% of my cars,) but I have no idea what they do! Please advise
  4. On some of my wheels (not all) I'm seeing a weird behaviour when the suspension load is either very light or relieved completely (eg, inside wheels on a sharp corner). The wheels basically snap to past the top of the suspension travel (I suspect top of travel plus the suspension distance again) and back again, sometimes in a vibrating buz between the *correct* position and the anomalous. Sometimes, with wheels popping up, it reminds me of shovel snouted lizards dancing on hot sands. I'm assuming there's a combination of settings that is creating this weirdness.
  5. I'd assumed spring was obvious and damper was like a dashpot, controlling movement attenuation, but that's clearly not the case as zero spring and max damper causes this little thing (here attempting minimum speed flight) to leap violently into the air in a backflip and explode: Since all manner of other craft use the suspension sub-system now, I would know just what the two values actually do, as I would expect weak a spring high damper configuration to bottom out and sit there pathetically, rather than do an acrobatic pirouette right off the handle.
  6. Welcome to Vagani Manufacturers Vagani Manufacturers builds stylish ground vehicles in the kerbal universe, as well as this we also occasionally produce replicas of real life vehicles such as the Avro Vulcan, Alfa Romeo 6c (1929) and the Citroen C4 Cactus. All ground based vehicles come fitted with suspension that allows the vehicles to bounce and jump when travelling increasing their durability. If there are any vehicles that youd like to see created then feel free to leave a request and i'll see if i can fulfill it. News You may remember that i used to run a company that used to specialise in building cars and other ground based vehicles. Well now I'm back and ready to go again! And for all those new; Hi I'm Vagani, i build really cool and realistic looking cars in a space game... They all come with fully working suspension as standard so should take more punishment than the bog standard wheels. 7. So... I don't know if this was made before, but I had this Idea after seeing some streamers on twitch having problems designing heavy rovers. This is basically a spring suspension. It's not good for high speed, but are very good to move heavy stuff around and can be used for other things. The image explains it all... The only detail are, You must lock steering and disable brakes on the small landing gears inside the cylinder. Craft file: https://kerbalx.com/luizopiloto/Taurus-M1
