[1.0] SimpleScienceFix v1.1 - Run Multiple EVA and Crew Reports and Surface Samples. (May 7th, 2015)

Seconding (thirding?) the request for CKAN support! The CKAN devs seem pretty friendly (I know one of them in real life, he's a top bloke). I'm positive they'll be happy to give assistance if you need any help with the process.

Hmm you said....

Yes, the reset and keep data buttons do nothing, because as soon as you ran the report, the data was created on the kerbal by the game. The addon simply moves that data to the science container. It doesn't care if you want to keep it or not, it just moves it to get the experiment ready to go again. If you want to remove data, you need to review it.

Can this be changed so that ONLY when I press the "Keep Data" button does it get stored? That way I don't need to review data if I decide if I want to reset it or transmit it.

IF my ship is on a long journey with lots of science on-board. (I had a mission recently where there were 50+ reports on-board) Having to go through that list just to look for an experiment I want to dump or transmit is going to become annoying fast.

The API doesn't give me access to that button, as that would have been my preferred behavior as well.

If CKAN wants to pull any of my mods' updates from curse, they can do so.

However, I'm not interested in maintaining yet another distribution channel. None of my addons are updated so frequently to need it anyway. :)

Hey,

great little mod. Really helps with the focus on gameplay instead of tedious workarounds for limitations.

About CKAN:

I only know about how it works with kerbalstuff. There you only have to leave the CKAN box ticked when you first upload your mod to kerbalstuff and the license must follow the CKAN/NetKAN license scheme (https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/blob/master/CKAN.schema, bottom of that page).

There is no further need for maintenance. You just update your mod download, the rest ist done automatically.

It would allow the inclusion of the mod into meta-modpacks (.ckan install files) and the inclusion into "recommendations" for other mods on CKAN.

Anyway, CKAN support is a one-time effort, if set up properly.

I don't know about the second issue though.

Actually, the behavior I've observed (which is annoying) is that since this mod immediately moves the science into the science container as soon as it's generated, if you click the "keep data" button, the game creates a duplicate report with a value of zero. Any time I selected "Keep data", I ended up with stored data with a value of zero.

I started a new career game in 1.2.2 and as soon as I embarked on the KSC science tour, I realized how much I miss this mod.  Any plans for an update?

Wait, what? Is this not 1.2 compatible? But, I had just discovered it :(

Does anyone know of anything similiar? Or is there a stock way of doing this now?

@canisin

https://mods.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal/220264-for-science

" you can right click the Storage Unit and press the Container: Collect All to collect all the experiments into the Storage Unit "
http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Experiment_Storage_Unit
not exactly the same but as close as stock gets

Thanks a lot! I will check out these mods and also attempt to use the Experiment Storage Unit to find out how it works.
