Deleted... But they where not really working so I can just make the cfgs again. It was only 2 planets.

Oh yeah, I found out that along time ago I watched a video tutorial of yours but stopped when I needed textures but no one knew how... and now that I know how to, they wont work..... xD

I just realized, I have never landed on the planet, so I never saw what it really looked liked cuz I forgot scaledSpace... xD, my planet up close was really flat so I changed that, I hope this goes well. Then I forgot to delete the .bin file... xD

EDIT: I DID IT!!!! I made a planet! Kinda small but I can fix that Look at next comment...

Ok, now scaledSpace doesn't want to work

When I reloaded the game the scaled Space didn't feel like working...

You might want to enter either Vacuum or Atmospheric over at the ScaledVersion's type entry. You're supposed to enter either of the two, what you're entering right now is something Kopernicus does not understand which causes Ilen to crash while loading.

Next, it says 'normals', it requests a normal map while you seem to be entering a heightmap. That could be the cause of the issue.

Nope, I use PNG scaledspace textures all the time without problem. If ScaledVersion would only access DDS I'd have over a dozen of issues with Total Rebuild. Both file formats are equally valid, even when used in combination.

EDIT2: Okay, so I still haven't fixed that problem, but I did explore 2 new PQS mods, but on Kerbin, and now the KSC is the Space KSC(SKSC), how do I fix this? I didn't provide CFG because I know there is a PQS Mod for this but I don't know which one, or how to use it.

I DID IT!!!! I got Scaled Space to work! I put scaled Space stuff into a different area in the cfg and it worked, between Orbit and PQS

Now I can actually make planets that work!!!

I think the problem was that you got to work on the ScaledVersion before even providing a template planet. Try to do that first from now on and see if the issue appears again.

Yeah that was the issue because I moved it down below template with my other 3 planets and they all worked. :D

The only one I haven't done was too bumpy and so I had to change that first.

EDIT: The bumpy one was also bright pink for some reason, I would understand a red, but pink? I think that is the worst color I could've done for a planet

Okay, so my planets where all really ugly and I found out why, 1. Lack of cool PQS like VoronoiCraters, 2. The planets where only at most 70km in radius, Kerbin is 600km in radius, so I made a 700km radius planet with VoronoiCraters, and a few others, but the coloring gets weird... @The White Guardian I've been using quite a lot of the PQSMods found in the Sigma Dimensions configs - including Land Control! - and I stumbled across a problem. In other words I managed to destroy the universe. One of the configs appears to be messed up, and it causes a selected save to keep loading and loading and loading for eternity...but nothing happens. Other planets appear to have similar problems, all relating to the PQSMods. They never glitched up the game before, so what the Kraken happened? (Hey it almost rhymes)

I think the problem is that 99% of it appears to be from a Kittopia export. Don't rely on those. :wink:

Press Ctrl+p to open the KittopiaSpace GUI. Select your planet, then scroll down and click 'scaled space editor'. At the bottom, use press Export Textures. Wait for that to finish. Now click update mesh.

Exit the game after updating the mesh. Go to gamedata > kittopia > textures.

Now you have the textures for this planet, you can use them in your config. That should fix your issue.

My moon that I've added appears to get light from the Gas Giant it orbits any ideas would might cuase this?

i have a problem with textures.

in scaled space the texture looks as it is supposed to:

There's your problem. You're giving the terrain no color at all. Try adding this PQSMod:

I'm having a rather vexing problem and this thread seems like a good place to ask.  I'm having trouble that seems to be connected with Voronoi craters on a planet I'm working on.  While playtesting I've found that when I try to land in some craters, the terrain disappears and turns invisible.  The planet is still there - I can still land and I see exhaust blast effects when I take off again.  Not all craters have this problem, and I have not run across the problem outside a crater.

I'm using the crater configs from Mun as my starting point, and the main thing I'm doing different is that I have three layers of craters instead of two.  I've made sure that each crater set has a different name, layer number, and index number.  I'm not dropping below sea level, there is always still some positive altitude at touchdown.  The one pattern I've noticed is that the problem craters are always from the third layer, but not all of the third layer craters exhibit this issue.  Is there a limitation on the number of overlapping Voronoi craters you can have?

I'll post the config file and some screenshots later today (I'm away from my computer at the moment), just wondering if maybe this is something others have seen and I'm overlooking something simple.

Yes. 0 is the lowest point on the planet and 1 is the highest point. 2 is only used for coloration offset, since it's a gradient, and forcing the coloring over the highest point, not just up to but beyond, to ensure that the entire planet is colored.
