I looked on the Space engine forums and saw the new 9.8.1 nebula from Duke. They look awesome, also you can change the color and stuff like that.

Nice job, but did you know that if you approached, let alone entered a nebula, it would basically vanish from sight? They're only seen from distance where they appear compact.

Also, they're never pretty, shiny and colorful even from distance. They're just pale, dim whisps.

Yes, I do know that nebulae are not very visible from inside. However, I quite like the look of a bright nebula for the KSP skyboxes so I enhanced the photos' color and exposure to make the nebula pop out more. I talked more about this in my skybox creation tutorial.

@Darkness Put the mod inside your Gamedata folder in your KSP directory after installing texture replacer. If that doesn't work for you, you can copy the images from the folder "default" from the mod into the folder "default" from texturereplacer.

@alexus sorry for getting back to you so late! I'm sorry, but at the moment space engine doesn't allow me to export 8k skyboxes. If I remember correctly, there is an 8k skybox somewhere, like it's a nasa image converted to a skybox.

May I ask your permission to edit one of your skyboxes with some additional graphics?
I would have asked you privately but I don't have permissions for that yet.
