At work today I suddenly got this idea and asked myself:  Could the fireworks be used to propel a Kerbal?   The answer is  yes they can.

I also built a launching tube which I tested on Gilly and a large cubic room, in which the fireworks can ricochet off the walls in low and zero gravity environments:
