2157dv left on orbit,a lil bad :(

i think that emptying a third of the ox tanks would let it get better

okay i removed some ox and almost half of the rapiers and intakes

leaving me some space for nervae(dont worry its just 6 of them,wont too heavy,plus the decrease in dead weight toomuch ox,the craft is now less than original weight)

adding moar wings...

lowering the twr makes this thing needing more runway.

so i need more wings to avoid that

okay very good!sufficient twr,2 additional nervae,not-too-much oxidizer!

lets sea how many dv in nerv terms go to orbit!

okay orbit left 1538dv on rapier terms(aww crap,skill issue on flight profiles made jet engines only accelerate to 900m/s instead of 1300)

but 2830 dv on terms of nervae!(sufficient for jool transfer i think)

lemme see how many dv do i need(by manuver planning)

1046.3dv for minmus transfer

193.2dv for minmus capture

200dv for minmus (about to)landing

about 100dv i think for minmus landing

gotta refuel at it

now im sleepy and (yawn) i would continue next morning

bill complained about low twr and 22 minuites needed to manuver just for a mun assist

so he retrograde to suborbit

and ejected out with a parachute on 400m(he did not like the lack of agility of the aerocontrolls either)

he liked jebs aerostunts so e mimiced them :joy:

and i had to kal the nervae 20 times for bill manuver happiness

just realized that the wings and jets only work on kerbin and laythe,u can attempt a power decent on duna and a helicopter module on eve orbit

what the "joy" of designing such waste of dv crafts!

would replace it with appropiate modules on kerbin(jets),laythe(jets),eve(helicopter),tylo(reuseable boosters?)

got another problem while testing orbit without oxidizer

the pair of nervae did not have gimbal and worked really bad and caused pitching down(wings would almost not work when they are supposed to open)

reason:thrust center above lift and mass

reason to the reason:accidentally offsetting nervae up

to orbit without oxidizer(what a shame i accidentally forgot to clear oxidizer in tanks)

99 nerva dv left but actually half full tanks

werido and glitchy (or kraky?) dv calculation

lemme change all rocket tanks to jet tanks and change all rapiers to jets with higher isp

and not forget to clear ox in existing fuel tanks

this thing can get itsself to jool system without refueling i think

or it could carry space chairs and let these chairs fly to jool

wheesleys and golliaths work best counting in isp

Well that's an impressive amount of engines and it flies really nicely but I'm struggling to get it to fly faster than 360m/s. Wheesleys, while they have great ISP, are not good for high speeds or altitudes. It looks like around 7700m is the ceiling with all engines burning. I'd say that using rapiers in LF mode only would be a lot better.

Also the two nervas are exhausting onto the tail planes and will need to burn for a long time for transfer and capture burns (considering the mass).

have u updated?the newest version says 4 nervae and none of them are making anything hot

now update ur version!it should say rapiers instead of wheesleys

got to orbit with 3/5 tank

welp still having minor "nervae causing pitch up" problems even if i made the thrust mass and lift centers in one line

nervae issue is serious and causes unability of manuvering

One thing that stabilised the nose a bit for me was to set the fuel priority to drain the big tanks first (+1). At the moment all fuel tanks drain at the same time so as the LF at the front drains it makes the spaceplane more tail heavy as you fly.

I'm also having some issues.

this ssta could direct transfer from kerbin to jool and refuel at minmus and pol!

refueling at pol would be a lil tricky due to almost no gravity holding this thing in place(instead of tumbling) or holding the drill down(instead of "not touching the ground")
