Cómo se añade una pieza nueva al satélite?

Estoy intentando hacer una misión que se llama "añade una pieza nueva al satélite ...", ya que es del juego original entiendo que no necesito un mod para completarla, sin embargo cuando me acerco al satélite con el ingeniero y con la pieza en el inventario (una batería) no me deja realizar ninguna acción. Hice una misión de reparar una antena y ningún problema, imagino que esto se hará diferente, pero ni idea.  Igual es una tontería pero ya no sé qué más probar, agradecería cualquier información al respecto.

You need to have the engineer get very close to the satellite. Then attach the battery using the construction menu. There is a crane hook on right side of your screen for this.
