Minmus Landing is a mammoth mobile base. It took a tumble en-route to it's destination and did a double-endo, but Jeb managed to stick the landing and keep on going. It does have some demons though... there's about a 30% chance every time I warp, that the surface of Minmus will just swallow it whole, destroying it and killing all the kerbals on board. Quickloading after one of these incidents will result in all 4 tires exploding on load.

Jeb choosing the plane for entertainment flight.

Biplane on right (near the orange fuel sucking truck) is Scout 5. It have 1000 km range on 1/3 thrust (120 m/s), weights 1.5 tonnes with two Kerbals (landing gears are weightless), have dimensions 3.5 x 3 x 1.5 meters and perfectly controllable. It have too much lift, though - better suits for Laythe atmoshere.

Top one is Electric Bumblebee. It have 50 km range in darkness on 1/4 thrust and unlimited range on 1/5 thrust (100 m/s) during a day (and can be slowly recharged in flight). It have same size and weights 0.8 tonnes with one Kerbal.

Hmm, both are seems to be too big..

Bottom one is Inferniglider. It have only control surfaces and have infinite range, dimensions 3 x 3 x 1.25 meters, weights 0.7 tonnes with one Kerbal and very hard to land - any maneuvering add up more, more, more and more speed.

Maybe this one?

Gnat 2 test have dimensions 3 x 3 x 1.25 meters, weights 0.95 tons with one Kerbal, have a range about 700 km on 1/4 thrust (100 m/s). Also, it have fancy wheels and safety chute for water landing.

It slightly lacking of lift or slightly too heavy. It's in any way not glider, but at least it lands easy and willingly.
