3 man LOTUS lander RELEASED *includes launch vehicle* See first post

Hi Oddbin,

The usual KSP problems.. To build something interesting you have to use lots of struts and struts cause lag.

This thing lags when near a planet but none when landed.. Im guessing the gravitational influence or slight errors in the physics calculations are causing the lander to flex slightly, causing the lag. I dont know..

I will be very interested in seeing what you guys make of it. It will be a totally open release so I give full permission to do whatever you want with it.

in true KSP style.

Powered landing, chutes, or a little bit of both?

Also, once I get less busy, I have a harebrained idea that I would like to try out. I want to see if I can launch your Lotus Lander and my Sandpiper in the same stack with my Saturn IX, and then see where I can go with them. Seems like it should be within its lifting capabilities...

That would be very cool indeed. Please do this!

She was falling around 14m/s, I hadn't quick saved so I didn't want to risk too hard a landing and used a little thrust.

I'm sure she can stand up to that speed. My Kerbin drop tests showed her to be very solid.

I need to make some tweaks to enable a Duna return.
