Wow... i've gotten lots of responses, but it looks like, going off the pole; is concrete.

HOWEVER, after looking at it closely, some might argue plastic.

In terms of strength, unexplodium would be my personal favorite of the names thought up.

but cardboard cut outs for buildings would be interesting for comic relief purposes.

I don't know about KCS, but real world VABs are mostly steel hangars with reinforced concrete parts.

KSC might be made out of ground Nokia 3310 mixed with a binder. Maybe there's some Minecraft obsidian there, too.

Some kind of Alloy of Adamantium and Mithirl. Made by space dwarves.

I only assume cause I had a main sail come off at launch and fly right into the VAB and it was unphased.

It's made out of the stuff from the core of the overly heavy/massive planets! That's why it's so strong and their so heavy!
