For steam users: Do you delete your KSP install every time it updates?

No, I've been using the steam version since 0.18 and have never needed to do a fresh install.

No, Steam takes care of it. You just wait. I don't remember OS restarting was needed, either.

Steam never needs to do a full reinstall just to update a game. It just replaces the files as needed based on what the developers give them.

I do anyway just to get rid of all the old mods and such that muck around with the new version.

I like to try each new version completely stock before the right mods update themselves

I let it update the original folder. I usually start a new save after each update though, start fresh and avoid any save-incompatible bugs.

No way, I have backups of all my old KSP installs. What if I wanted to go back and play with them?

I just put the new KSP version in a new folder.

No. It does the update without any input needed from me. It doesn't break saves. I just continue gaming without a care in the world.

Ever since my first save game got broken with most of my missions ending up under ground ive been starting a new save with each version, now with science im doing it again. I think after .23 tho i will stop and hopefully be able to keep my saves for good.

Why would you even NEED to delete it for an update? What's the reason behind this question?

Nope, never. Been using steam for years and years, never needed to uninstall a game for it to work thanks to the verify game cache feature.

Bit like the old days when the OS needed a reinstall every 6-12 months to stop it slowing to a crawl. Not needed to do that since I got windows 7 as it keeps itself clean.

I delete mine not out of necessity, but just to clear out mods that might or might not be compatible and to try things stock when I'm first playing an update.
