Part appears in stage list as a tweakable

Currently decouplers, parachutes and engines automatically appear in the stage list. However there are times when you might not want it there, for example an engine that is used in an abort sequence and is activated by action group, or a decoupler you don't want accidentally staged.

The suggestion is to make a VAB/SPH only tweakable option to have the part appear in the stage list or not. Either way you'd still be able to activate the part by right clicking as you can now, but if it was set not to appear in the stage list you couldn't activate it with the stage button (Space bar) and it wouldn't have an icon in the list.

Look at the "tweakable everything" mod. It offers this option.

Excellent idea. Should also have the reverse possible, a tweakable event that can be added to the staging list.

I don't know why it has to be VAB/SPH only though - if my mission goes wrong, I might need my decoupler to detatch, or my escape tower to come off a bit earlier/later (otherwise I will not go to space today). It's a really good idea, just not sure why you would want to limit it to not be tweakable in flight.
