  1. Ferram seems i can't win with you, however i bring something up i do it in a wrong way somehow. I didn't have the context to understand kitspace was referring to a patch that fixed my issues, and I didn't know there was a changelog noting the fixing, if i did i wouldnt have asked.
  2. Ferram i know you hate it when i bring this up, but its been like a week and i'm just wondering, is the issue with control surfaces patched yet?
  3. Also my wings are starting to stall at places due to the flaps and spoilers i've had to install offset further outside the wing distrupting airflow... :CCC ALSO: everytime i toggle my gears/landing wheels my flaps/spoilers/airbrakes stop working for some reason and have to be retoggled again. And yes, this also still happens even if i have offset them some. edit: ... latest dev build seems to have killed all my missions. I'm reverting back to stable. edit2: reverted to stable release, and reloaded quicksave. This time after reloading my active "flights" were kept and not deleted...
  4. Hey Ferram when do you think we might see a fix to the problems i have with the control surfaces/airbrakes? edit: just tested it, still bugged :/ :C edit2: not sure if related to your dev builds but my plane keeps resetting to the airfield after i fly and revert to VAB, so I have to recover it after each test flight. Your mod is the only thing i changed from before, when this didnt happen. Not a big issue though. Would love it if you could fix the issue with the control surfaces. I'm practically waiting for you to update this so i can continue working on my KSP planes and shuttles. I tried to move my control surfaces further out, it works okay, i guess. Still it creates extra drag when undeployed, looks unappealing, and every now and then it seems i still get some ignoring of a flap or an airbrake or something.
  5. So um, can/will it be fixed? Also it's kinda strange that it starts working sometimes after moving the gear up and turning the airbrakes on and off again. Not super reliably, but it does work at least sometimes.
  6. Oh, nice. Also, hey, might as well add an exception for flaps as well(maybe all control surfaces?), i have several flaps which sit quite snugly towards the bottom of my wing and im not sure if they're working fully or not.
  7. Have done so, also tested it just to make sure after doing so, and the problem was still there sadly. Anyways here is the updated craft file with less dependencies.
  8. I only copied the two lights from b9 mod, since there arent good omnidirectional lights in stock. So um, no it should hopefully make no difference since the only b9 parts that are even in my game are the two single ones i copied from the mod. And those two are LAMPS. just simple Lights. Nothing particularly complex. I can remove the lights, simple enough. edit: Oh yeah also use antennas from remotetech. Will try to remove all unneccesary dependencies for a version right now, and upload that one too. edit:2 OK new version here without lights or antennas. I think there might have been a wing part from KAX though, but am not sure.
  9. Heres the craft. Mods: Ferram(ofc) Might have used some KAX parts(Kerbal Aerospace Extention or whatever its called) in there(not sure). And I use two lights from B9 for esthetic purposes(dont know if KSP cares if youre missing parts or not). Other than that i think most stuff is stock. Also not sure what file sharing website you prefer, so just chose some random one that seemed to work. Wow, you're really taking me way too seriously. I'm not trying to be offensive towards ferram or anyone else. If I got impatient and wrote "anyone?" in my post and it offended some of you, then I'm sorry. But IMO, I don't see why its big of an enough thing to be even the slightliest bit upset about.
  10. Yes, really. I don't see why me being impatient at the moment is any real issue though. It's not like i made multiple posts I will try checking that out, thanks. - - - Updated - - - Nope still doesn't work with my gears deployed. I think its due to flawed "moderate area drag" smoothing(which afaik only applies in subsonic speeds, so if your crafts are mostly supersonic you wouldnt have this issue afaik) or whatever its called. In any case, that stuff should probably skip control surfaces.
  11. My shuttle airbrakes don't work half the time for some reason. Here (Red arrows are drag) as you see in this picture here the airbrakes refuse to provide any drag/braking. No difference acceleration/deacceleration is noted either. When it works, it looks like this(and deacceleration is clearly noticed). For being such a highly regarded mod it has some regular issues with drag/aerodynamics that vanilla doesn't have that are pretty bad. Anyone knows why it does this? An airbrake that just works half the time(and at complete random) is no use. edit2: it just frustrates me so much to have worked on this junk so long to work with ferram and it turns out ferram randomly refuses to give a .... about smaller aerodynamic surfaces vital to my shuttle, surfaces that would have worked with vanilla with its allegedly less precise and discerning stock aerodynamics. edit3: Increased voxelcount to 400000, not sure if it should help. It didn't make my airbrakes work consistently yet. lifting my gears up and then switching the airbrakes on and off again seem to make it work some of the time. Still, this is far from fixed for me. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens and how to fix/avoid it? Besides me wanting everything to work relatively realistically, lifting my gears up doesnt work as a good solution since i like to use the airbrakes when landing.
  12. Yeah its center of gravity is far back, since these wings cannot hold rocketfuel like much of IRL space shuttle did, so i put the cargo in front and the fuel stuff in the back with the engine(to ensure a relatively consistent center of mass)(if the fuel tanks were at the front, the center of gravity could change by a problematic amount as i run out of fuel.)
  13. No, no stall or nothing. i mean, normally i can pitch up with my plane very quickly after starting my engine, but with the outer control surfaces on higher power it wont pitch up. No stalling. - - - Updated - - - what is nuFAR?
  14. Also i have another question. I've been working on a space shuttle, and switched to ferrram the other day(which ended up making me have to redesign it from the ground up) now, its starting to approach a point of functional. However some parts of the systems with control surfaces confuse me. Here's my space shuttle. For some reason, when i increase the amount of pitch movement on the outer control surfaces of my shuttle, my pitching becomes worse and ends up making me not able to even pitch up from the airfield to get airborne. Why is that? (the otuer being the ones next to the two biggest one, not the one furthest out(since i use that for completely dedicated roll control)) edit: also not sure if it means anything at all but maybe should mention that in this pic my control surfaces are in a relatively balanced setup(i think). Not set up in the example where i cannot even take off. Not that it should change anything. edit: ALSO does anyone have any good tips to make this space shuttle softer to land? It tends to want to fly downwards and it doesnt have control at low speeds and tend to decend a bit fast. Added some flaps previously, but they disrupted the airflow too much (in the way i incorperated it anyways) and made my control surfaces stall. It used to be utter .... at landing but i've improved it somewhat to be at least possible if you're careful with your speed and approach. Removed the airbrakes as well, since according to the f12 in flight torque screen they added an undue amount of drag even though they were undeployed. So now i use drouge parachutes for landing instead. You can see the airbrakes on this picture with the red lines going from them.
  15. Putting it this way, is it leaning more towards underpowered(I'd prefer this over overpowered IMO) or overpowered?
  16. Whats the difference between the current vanilla reentry mechanics and this?
  17. Also the zooming out also happens sometimes on the like, space center, so when you're supposed to select what building you want to enter, it might be zoomed into the planet or so far out it's impractical to use.
  18. I have the same issue. Also my relays sometimes duplicate inside of each other when looking at the space center map thing, so when you enter them they EXPLODE.
