I know that nasa is not a company.. where I said that?
SLS is not outsourced.. maybe few "few" components are.. But the majority of the project is done in all the different NASA agencies.
All the design is done by them.
Also many times that nasa outsourced things, they keep all controls, designs parameters, procedures, documentation, policies, etc.
So all that inefficient buracracy, enters in the job of other companies, which they become just another NASA branch.
NASA outsources things all the time. Very rarely does NASA actually build anything. As a matter of fact different companies are competing to create a booster for the Block II SLS.
However, the problem is they are only funded by the government.

Dude, that's pretty insane. Especially since you were in range at the time of the collision. The closest thing I've ever had to this was a also ridiculously unlikely. I had a Munar transfer stage that got kicked into a fairly high orbit, however it came into the SOI of the Mun again. It was kicked back down and while I was rearranging the panels of my space station it came within 700m.

Personally I think the ore tanks should only be fillable in sandbox for this reason.

This is a known glitch with the fairings getting stuck to your vessel.
-
Those dang parachutes et me every time.
-
I may have filled a plastic coke bottle with butane once (or whatever are in lighters). And then lit it. Yeah, not very exciting but it probably wasn't a good idea.
-
Built a Mun lander because I hadn't landed on the Mun in a long time. I got there, and then I accidentally decoupled the re-entry capsule instead of the injection stage.

I found its a glitch with tweakable reaction wheels after four hours of file searching. Do you have tweakable everything installed?
I believe I do. I'll have to check that out.

I was building a cannon (don't ask) and then this:
Do I win?

is there also a config for determining how many pieces the fairing separates into. Really tired of the popcorn-style jettisons and would like a standard 2-piece fairing.
While there isn't a separate cfg for that, I suspect if you set the max height to an extremely large value you could get it to separate into less pieces.
But you are still going to have to deal with a few pieces. Or you could just download Procedural Fairings unless you are playing completely vanilla.

Jeb found that the ground is harder to see at night, but the surface was lit up for a moment.

I actually kind of like glitches like this. It kind of makes you think there are actually UFOs. I've had a few, including a light following my Minmus rover and an object (assuming it was some sort of graphical artifact) hovering over the Mun near that canyon.

Well this was rather fun. I got a contract to build a station around the Moon. It was giving a little science, but a lot of money. So I used one of the strategies to convert all of the money into science. The contract was going to give me over 2000 science. But if that wasn't enough, the game glitches and then doubled the amount I got for some reason. It gave me around 4200 science for one mission.

The only reason is because of a RSS save that I have at .25. I never bothered to update it to .90. Might do it once the 1.0 version of RSS comes out.

So, how does the weapons manager work? I installed through CKAN and the box says the manager is missing. Do you set the managers in the VAB?
-
Personally mine is Technetium because it is the first radioactive element and it is so far away from the other radioactive elements.

Because males like ice cream more?
What kind of ice cream? Now that's the question.
-
Is there a decent chance of regaining control?
At this point, probably not. Even if they did the craft can't make it to the ISS from what I understand. The only point now is so it doesn't make an uncontrolled re-entry.
-
Well. I don't think that this is recoverable. That's a seriously fast spin. I wonder what could have caused it to lose control like that. It just seem to get worse.

I only started using it about 2 days ago, so I'm not really worried about losing 64 bit...I am a little unnerved they did it without any prior warning however.
Squad doesn't do that normally so I am going to guess that it was probably an accident. Still strange though.

My KSP is normally more like chocolate. I play with part packs and some of the mods like Kethane and the realism mods. But I don't normally play on RSS. However have played RSS and I have a save file. Unfortunately for some reason .90 doesn't work with more than a few mods for me so I am only using a few mods at the moment.

Ok I have seen a few:
The Proton Launch from today
ORB-3 (that was quite a shocker)
LADEE (saw with the naked eye from Pennsylvania)
the GSLV MK.3 test
a few F9 launches
the Orion test launch
STS-135
SMAP
the launch of ATV Georges Lemaitre
the launch of Swarm (I think that was on a Rockot)
some random Minotaur I launch (I think it was the record breaking one)
And a Zenit launch from the ocean
Also those of you who were alive during Apollo, I envy you

I had an ion powered lander that was exploring Minmus. The mission should have been going fine until the first glitch hit. I was making the second landing attempt and had the standard SAS mode on and 20 m from the ground it for whatever reason flipped out and pointed me straight sown. I broke three out of four panels and limped back into orbit on my one remaining panel. I sent a rescue mission, but when the craft came within loading range every single part on the ship broke apart from each other. Some pieces were shot out of the system at close to the speed of light while others barely moved. Also when I loaded up the Apollo capsule from FASA in the VAB the rcs effect was coming out of the ports. In the VAB. And not at normal angles either, some were at 60 degree angles from the ports they were coming out of.

It is helpful sometimes when you have parts that should attach that the game refuses to attach. Such as when making clusters of engines that visually have space between them but the gme for whatever reason wont allow you to attach them there. Before the offset and rotate buttons there was a lot more use for it though.

The new docking system was mentioned because this Dragon is bringing up a new system for Commercial Crew.
