  1. Crap! Sorry I'm late with my reply, I was having some serious internet issues. Anyways, I know that the download includes multiple versions of ModuleManager. It's just that I had the two versions installed at the same time when I got it to work, so, just to be sure, I included both of 'em. However, my KSP always says: [Number here] Patches applied 0 Patches applied Pasted over each other, so KSP can in fact run multiple versions of MM at once. I think you can safely delete the .2.6.3 version, though, always be careful.
  2. Alright, I'm making a small fanmade moonpack for CaptRobau's Outer Planets Mod, and everything seems to work, except for one thing: When I get close enough to my moons for scaledspace to disappear, the moon disappears completely. Even stranger, the surface is still there, just completely transparent. Other than that, everything works fine. Does anyone know what's causing the surface to go invisible? - - - Updated - - - I'm not sure if your question has been answered already, but if not, here is the answer: I've tried making a desert planet too, and logically used Duna as a template, which resulted in the same problem you're having with your planet. Solution: Duna is a bad template. Use Tylo instead.
  3. They include textures for the stock planets, such as Eve. However, expansions such as Duna dust storms are not included. What I meant with 'standalone' is that it does not require any extra mods. It can also be used without OPM. Here is what is inlcuded for the stock planets: -Eve: Thick clouds that hide the surface -Kerbin: Clouds -Duna: (not much) -Jool: Much better textures that will make it look like a gas giant instead of a fuzzy greeen ball -Laythe: Clouds As for the license, this is basically E.V.E but working for 1.0.4. - - - Updated - - - The license is also included in the download, in GameData/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/License
  4. I believe you have all once heard of the Outer Planets mod. If not, check here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/104280-1-0-3-Outer-Planets-Mod-(1-7)-Tal-biomes-return-of-egg-shaped-Ovok-faster-loading-1-Jul It is a mod that adds three gas giants to the Kerbol system, each of them (except Neidon, Neidon's moons are still in development) has it's own moons. The new planets are: Sarnus, an orange gas giant with large rings. Urlum, a light blue ice giant with small rings. Neidon, a purple gas giant with no rings and (so far) no moons. Plock, a pluto-analog. Will eventually get at least one moon and it's own textures. Sarnus being a Saturn analog, it, of course, has a Titan-analog orbiting it. Meet Tekto, a green, awkward world. It's surface is hidden from view by thick clouds. Or, well, it's supposed to. And that is what this small mod is for. It is a version of Environmental Visual Enhancements that works with KSP 1.0.4, and it comes with the cloud configs of Sarnus, Urlum, Neidon, and Tekto. All you have to do is drag the contents of the .zip file into your KSP directory (the ZIP-file should have a folder named 'GameData'. Merge this folder with the 'GameData' folder in your KSP directory). If done correctly, you should now have clouds in KSP! Warning: we all know that KSP can have some serious bugs, though most, if not all, are fixed upon restarting the game. I'd like to underline the fact that, if your KSP bugs during gameplay, it might and might not be because of this mod. Disclaimer Please know that this mod is not made by me, I merely got it to work with 1.0.4. E.V.E: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/55905-0-24-7-4-Sep-9-2014-EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements Compatibility: - (Should be) compatible with KSP 1.0.4 - Might be compatible with older KSP 1.0 versions such as KSP 1.0.3, but I haven't tested that! What it adds: - Thick clouds to Eve - Clouds to Kerbin - (Not much to Duna, I'm afraid) - Better texture to Jool - Clouds to Laythe - Clouds to Sarnus - Clouds to Tekto - Clouds to Urlum - Clouds to Neidon DOWNLOAD: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0B81WFCqSQiY2JCWnFMRDR4WVk/view?usp=sharing To-Do list: - Get some pictures here. - Get a video here. - Get a coffee maker for the Laythe base. License: Since this is basically E.V.E but working for 1.0.4, here is E.V.E's license: https://github.com/rbray89/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/blob/master/README.md
  5. You are totally correct. Adding another star forces either the star to orbit "Kerbol" as a companion star OR it would be another "persistent" star. Since the game automatically destroys everything escaping Kerbol, other solar systems are currently music of the future. Even though the Planet Factory CE does allow extra suns, all solar panels still ignore all stars but Kerbol. Shortly: adding extra stars requires mainenance at core level, and will probably take ages. That's why other stars are low on Squad's to-do list, and things like other planets around Kerbol, new parts, and multiplayer (ergo: stuff that is relatively easy to add when compared to other solar systems) high on the to-do list.
  6. How about Yu (Jade): a world with plant life that gives it a green colour, and has a few permanent rainstorms that race the globe.
  7. They could be made of the name stuff mars' ice caps have: Dry ice (frozen carbondioxice or CO2)
  8. In the second screenshot, what planet is in the background?
  9. This is probably the easiest way: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/65401-WIP-PlanetFactory-CE And here is an awesome example of what it can do: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/66882-0-23-Sido-s-Urania-System-16-new-planets-and-moon-! Hope that helps
  10. 1000?! Holy Kerbal! WERNER! look what all that hate of waiting is getting you! Good luck trying to steer the monstership: it might kill your computer. I have landed on all 5 moons too, but with a simple lander with Jebedaiah only and with infinite fuel cheat (who cares? it was creative mode and I don't like losing men in space!). Sadly, my tylo flag and pol probe suddenly dissapeared. I am sure that tylo flag was there, since the landing broke one of my landing gear. Hopefully such things won't happen to you. Good luck!
  11. This is possible: just install the Clouds & City lights plugin. It is really easy to make a dense cloud hovering above something like Eve... About the Uranus analogue, check this out: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/66882-0-23-Sido-s-Urania-System-16-new-planets-and-moon-!
  12. (as a response to AHO) If I am provided with colour and height maps of each planet (gas giants need colour maps only) I am fully able to code them into celestial bodies
  13. Mm-hm. Some more planet ideas. I have an offer for you: provide me with colour and height maps of each planet, and I will code them into KSP, just for fun
  14. Im recreating them, and planning to be done near the end of May 2014.
  15. How can it be that Carter and Desta are also featured, along with that exact same map, by Samio85 (who states to have created them) under the names of Cite and Crato? And how can it be that Multo is a copy of NovaSilisko's Fonso (A modder brought NovaSilisko's planets to life. Your(?) "Multo" is an exact copy of the mod's Fonso. Can you explain this?
  16. These planets are currently being processed for implenting by me. Ill post screenshots soon!
  17. I really love these ideas, and I think I can try to implent them into the game using the Planet Factory Creators Edition. Thank you for your color maps, they sure help a lot! If you could also provide me height maps, I would be very happy and able to add thinks like craters on Cite's surface. For now, Im going to try to implent them, but I cant promise anything! Also: I can't add a "thin" atmosphere, like on Cite's moon Glace. Also, adding those won't have really any effect on gameplay, since Kerbal barometers and parachutes require much more atmosphere. I'm starting to code right away! (P.S: as you said, I will reduce the size of the objects). Edit: here are my template choices so far: Blalo - Eve Blight - Vall Ici - Eeloo Cite - Eve Glace - Vall Niia - Gilly Bombora - Jool (obviously) Lavao & Craio - Moho Crato - Tylo Volco - Dres Meanwhile, check this out: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/66882-0-23-Sido-s-Urania-System-16-new-planets-and-moon-! It adds a planet called Urania and its lovely system. Also, it requires the Planet Factory Mod CE which adds: A gas giant called Sentar (which has rings!) and its system: A ball of super-gravity called Thud (IT HAS 3.14 G AND NO ATMOSPHERE!!!) A nice little moon called Skelton A Laythe-like mook called Erin and Erin's moon Pock A Tylo-like moon with rings called Ringle and more aside from Sentar: A super-fast rotating object called Inacessable (it rotates around in 7 minutes) A comet called Ascension A baking world called Ablate And a new star system: Serious and its planet Joker (You'll see for yourself why Joker suits it that well) Happy exploring the vast regions of space! -Marten2Productions
