Due diligence. Fine. I'm 200% okay with that. Contradictory to your previous statement. Also, if there were current versions I would have installed them, although that's entirely irrelevant, since it's not up to you or anyone else to try and coerce me to install something on my own machine. A) If I don't have a constant nag screen to harass me I suddenly become incapable of updating my software. Thank you, mommy, for holding my hand through this difficult process. Which is totally different from assuming responsibility and checking a check-box, which is commonly accepted warning behavior Jogging is good for your health. How about someone comes to your house at 3AM every morning and knocks on your door as hard as they can and then runs off? If you start jogging on a daily basis then they'll stop. Is that problematic? Or is that working as intended?

If I stay away from requesting support for that combination I have to deal with a nag box every time I run the game until the plugin author decides to update. It's moot at this point. I recompiled one of them with the new version number and used a hex editor to fix the other two, since their source was incomplete. In any case, we could be solution-oriented and maybe consider putting a check-box on the nag that allows it to not re-notify until there's a change (since end-users don't actually care about implementation details), but let's stick with the forum culture and use the "deal with it" approach.

[1.3.0] Ambient Light Adjustment 2.6.3.8 [09/06/2017] continued)
Khatharr replied to timmers_uk's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
About 60 seconds. Takes 5x longer to test it than to fix it, lol. Changed the version number and recompiled the dll. Just replace the existing dll. [modedit]Link removed, source required.[/modedit] Distributed under license of the original, yadda-yadda, etc. -
Eh... I went to check and now it's not doing it anymore. If I see it again I'll try to grab the log file.

Actually, it's a lot more like saying, "How do I get rid of the nag box that comes up EVERY TIME I RUN THE GAME saying my mods don't work when they actually work perfectly fine?" Forget about it. I'll figure it out myself. Jesus Christ.

For some reason I have two icons for this in the VAB (in the stock bar) instead of one. If either or both of them is on then the window is visible.

How do I make it stop?

[0.25] 6S Service Compartment Tubes - "Design smooth!"
Khatharr replied to nothke's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is working in 0.25, provided you replace the firespitter dll. -
Maybe something like a simple report-based crowdsourced database of mods and their status. Forum integration may not be possible, but that's not actually necessary. I'll put a bit more thought into it and work out something feasible. It shouldn't be too hard to get a basic framework worked out. http://psychology.about.com/od/piagetstheory/p/formaloperation.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Functional_fixedness http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obstructionism

We should really try to come up with some kind of convention for dealing with this. It's annoying that every time there's an update I have to crawl through so many different threads to try and find out whether or not the mod still works and if not whether or not an update is coming. Thinking about the fact that there are so many other people out there doing the exact same research make my skin crawl. The compatibility list is a step in the right direction, but it's never complete and doesn't have a place for things that are in limbo. -.-

[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]
Khatharr replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Awesome. Thanks, man. Decluttering my parts list is my goal here, since I have several different mods running and it takes forever to find things, even with parts catalog. -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]

Any chance for tweakscale integration? -
-
Yes. I would like it very much if precoolers worked. I almost always need radial intakes on SSTOs, but the precoolers have to be attached to the intakes in order to work, so I don't end up getting any help with overheating, so I end up just removing the precooler and using a different ascent strategy. Also, looking over the different engines, a lot of them are getting pretty weak compared to stock parts. The 0.625m plasma thruster vs the stock ion thruster, for example. The SABRE also tends to be better that the upgraded 1.25m TTJ, all things considered. These interstellar parts require reactors, radiators, generators, and upgrades, but they don't really match their 'easy' stock counterparts in terms of overall usefulness. Anyway, any chance of a rebalance?

Kerbin City Community Project - Phase B - New Islands
Khatharr replied to nothke's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Just to clarify, does this make Nothke Kerbin's first Mayor? -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]

Hmm... Water splitter should produce hydrogen instead of waste. Anyway, is there a part for scooping ocean water (possibly as waste water)? More importantly, any chance of getting a crap cannon? -
Part organization? FINALLY! YES! If I were a woman I would bear your children.

Just re-installed this after a long time without it. (For some reason I thought it was out of order.) The model for the multispectral scanner is really really hard to click on sometimes, especially when it's open. In fact, I have a satellite orbitting Kerbin right now and I just spent 20 minutes trying to r-click on it in such a way that it would bring up the menu so I could shut it off. It's just attached directly to a girder, nothing crazy going on. I remember this being an issue with the old version as well. Also, I noticed when dumping science from the altimetry scanner that it's not giving me all of the available science, so I have to keep dumping the science again and again until it's empty. Could you set it to just dump/give 100% so I don't have to mess with it? Anyway, thanks for the awesome mod. Keep up the good work.
