Hey, that's me again ! I've made my sweet sweet Saturn V with all the hardware to take me to the mun ! My problem is concerning the third stage of saturn V : it should use a J-2 engine (LOH/LOX) with about 1000 kN of thrust and possibility to ignite it at least to times. The problem is the KW Rocketry pack does have a J-2 engine, but only the 5-pack version (which goes to the second stage and does a wonderful work !). In replacment I was using a Ariane V first stage engine, which have almost the same caracteristics, but it can be ignited only once. Can I find this particular engine anywhere, or should I edit a cfg file a make my Ariane engine ignite twice ? :\ Thanks !

I solved my problem by updating RO itself. Everything is working, that's great !

I noticed a bug (hopefully I didn't do anything wrong) : The Rocketdyne F-1 engine (reproduction of the Saturn V F-1 engine) from KW Rocketry pack has it's nodes miplaced with RO : The J-2 engine is buggy too ! Any idea for me to solve this and let me build my saturn V ? xD

Hey guys (and possibly girls) ! I am trying to build "copies" of real rockets in order to put together a Moonar mission : I already built a Ariane 5-like with a 10 tons capability payload for MTO. My biggest problem though is that there isn't an engine fueled with Liquid-Hydrogen / Liquid Oxygen and performing a 1000 kN thrust (or so). I would need such an engine for the first stage of Ariane 5 and the second and third stage of Saturne V. Actually, there is a 1000 kN engine, but it's powered with Kerozene/LOx, which is way heavier. Is this "lack" of engine normal ? Do you play with another pack of engines ? I love every other engines until then, I'm sooooo sad I can't find this one ^^ Thank you for any response

Thank you very much, I got plenty help and information here and on the RO thread, I understood almost everything about fuels types, that's great ! I'll test everything again on tomorrow (it's 1 am here in France !), hopping to put a probe on the Moon surface !

First, thank you to all of you, you made my evening ! I'll keep in mind everything you told me about fuels, that's great, that's adding a whole new perspective to the game ! I knew the word fairing, but I didn't know that it was used too for the "engine cover" xD I'll use procedural fairing interstage part to make them, if it's not a bug Thank you again and good night if you're on the east side of the atlantic !

Yeah, I not familiar with all of these fuel type yet, but it will come ^^ I there any indication in the VAB when selecting a fuel / engine / tank which could tell me more about the kind of informations you gave me (i.e "leak rate"). Thanks a lot !

Hi ! I just installed RSS with all requiered and recomanded mods, including Realism overhaul, that's an incredible job, well done ! I just succed in launching a simple command pod with 3 Kerbals in orbit and make them do a by-pass of the Moon : that worked (with a LOT of Delta-V ! ^^) but I noticed that my fuel "leaks" out of my tanks (some types of fuel more than others). It's like in real life so no problem, but I felt like it leaks really quickly ! I understand that if I use pressurized tank there is less leak, but the only pressurized tanks I could find are the old RCS tanks (filled with corresponding fuel of course). Am I missing something or is that normal and I'm supposed to use such tanks for long mission ? For exemple if I want to go to Mars, should I just use RCS tanks ? I'm not sure if the engine I'm using or the current fuel type increase or decrease fuel leaks. I didn't find any tutorial about this, so thank you if anyone can help me ! Also, when making a good old great rocket, my engines aren't covered by the... "cover" like they should be. They're just put above the decoupler, which is not really pretty... Any idea of what's causing this ? I installed the mods normally (well, I think so)

Yes I'm using real fuels, which is a part of realism overhaul, which is recommended in the first page ^^ Maybe I should ask my question in the RO thread ? So I should use only these kind of fuel for long-duration mission ? Thank you anyway

Really great job for this mod, everything is super-beautiful ! I have a little problem, maybe someone can help me : when I go on EVA in the launchpad (on Kerbin), Jeb still have his helmet, but I think he shouldn't ! ^^ His suit is different from the original, as intended, but he still have that damn helmet ! I'm using plenty of mods, but the only "graphics" mod I use is this pack with dependencies. Thanks for any help

I corrected my orbit to put it absolutly perfect regarding to the orbital waypoint, but this still doesn't work... Anyway, I tried another satellite launch mission, and this one worked without problem ! -

I had the same thaught, so I made a quicksave in the KSC and then tried cancelling every other satellite mission I had. When returning to the tracking building, I saw that I just had my polar orbital waypoint left (so I can't be on this one) but that didn't solve my problem... :\ -

In the first place my Pe and Ap were a little bit higer, didn't work... I'm using a lot of mods, but I don't think that is the problem (mods don't "change" the orbit of my probe...) You confirm that I should just need to match the orbital waypoint on the screen and voila ? -

Hello ! I just read a few pages of this topic but couldn't find any answer to my problem. I am trying to complete a satellite launch mission : I need to put a satellite with antenna into a polar orbit. I do have the orbital waypoint and I reached the requested orbit, but the contract doesn't complete...Could somebody tell me what I am doing wrong ? Even with these little problems, I have to say that this mod is soooooo cool and really improve the contract system, so really good work and thank you for that (click on the pictures for real size) -

Hello to everybody, I'm new on the forum and starving for help ! I used the 0.19 version of DRE until I understood it caused problem with the rapier engine. So I upgrade to the version in first page of topic, but I got this problem : I miss some parts ! I miss the 3-kerbals pod shield and the tiny shield. I do have all the decouplers, the 1-kerbal pod shield, and the two big shields (orange and inflatable) Can someone help me ? Thanks anyway- 5,917 replies

Hi everybody, I'm new on the forum and starving for help ! I used the DRE version from the spaceport (version 0.19 I think) until I noticed I cause a bug with the rapier engine. So I go download the maj from the first page of this topic and install it. My problem is that now I miss some parts ! I miss the shield which fit with the 3-kerbals pod, and the tiny one. I do have the 1-kerbal pod shield and the giant orange and the inflatable one, and also ALL the decouplers. Can anyone help me ?
