  1. Ha, I hope your piloting skills are up to par, but in case they aren't i'd wager that Michael survives the crash.
  2. Hope this is still useful by the time you see this: As far as i know you can start drinking again after any meds wear off, the important part is to leave the blood clot that formed in the tooth hole intact to speed the healing process; for that reason i would advise against the straw because the sucking could potentially dislodge the clot.
  3. when ya gotta go, ya gotta go and most people trust there gut on that matter. I personally think people will explore the ocean floor in the next 100 years or so than any other frontier.
  4. well, providing such a thing could be done, the end result would be something living largely to just reproduce, but you might know these as teenagers.
  5. Hmmm.. this looks like a Goblet of Fire, which burns money.
  6. E.A can stand for many things, but not Innovative.
  7. regarding the term DLC and it's relation to the add on content of games. as i have been playing an increasing amount of pc games recently, I have found that most of the core games i have played were in fact downloaded content. this brings me to suggest a change: to add an additional downloadable content label, something like ADLC (additional downloadable content) to specify whether or not that the software in question is a standalone product or a supplementary one. I realize that this is just nitpicking but I think that a change of label is needed, what are the rest of the community's opinions? what i meant by "standalone" was that certain content downloaded off the internet is, itself a functioning product and "supplementary" means that the product adds to or upon another existing product. the reason i am posting this here is because as a forum dedicated to a game whose Contents were DownLoaded via the internet, i thought other people might have something to say on the matter.
  8. I like the music in-game as it is, especially the VAB music
  9. I think this whole discussion would be supplemented by the knowledge of the actual culture portrayed in the picture as primitive. and to quote the princess bride (i think it's very relevant): "life is pain, anyone who says otherwise is selling something"
  10. the loading screens do pop up on a frequent basis. i think there may be a pattern involving the amount of times i start the game and the amount of loading screens i encounter but i can't be sure.
  11. A kerman law: thou shall strut like a peacock which shall fly with thunder.
  12. if you want an easy catch. find an big asteroid composed of something soft. it shouldn't be hard
  13. Hardcore mode should be where the player is forced to do a sit-up after every input command
  14. Hmmm... I thought of an idea; does a teleporter have to assemble the sent material in the right order? because i can think of a few practical jokes to play on certain poetically inclined people if it doesn't. heart of gold indeed.
  15. yo ho ho, thar be kraken bait if i ever saw yee. though i admire the dedication required to complete that thing. good job
  16. My most glorious moment? this one time i attempted a landing on the mun and had disregarded any fuel requirements upon building my lander. at first it was going fine; the 2-seat lander can above some fuel and 4 of those small orange engines, then i ran out of fuel 30 or so meters above ground going 60m/s mostly sideways. the reason for the awkward motion was my navball was set to orbital instead of surface, thus i burned in the wrong direction. as i panicked, pressing g g g, dear jeb retract the landing gear! while mashing the keyboard with my palm the lander hits the surface, bouncing off without 3 of the 4 legs. at this point i figure that if enough parts impact before the lander can, the speed will be slow enough to survive. so after the destruction of the lower half of the lander explodes for the second rebound, i flip the entire thing on it's head for the last time as the jr science thingamabob was on top. boom. as the can slides to a stop i reflect on the power of science and how i wouldn't be there without it. of course the save had been corrupted after switching to a landing leg that subsequently fell through the terrain but it was still a glorious moment.
  17. I would like to point out another potential renewable energy source would be found through the use of hydroelectric dams (disregarding the catastrophe caused by flooding a river). to my knowledge, hydro dams are relatively "clean" but only useful in areas with plenty of rivers. (if this has been brought up before please disregard the first sentence as i only skimmed)
  18. the closest call i can think of is when my lander (designed for such locations as ike or pol) left lathe's orbit with around 180 units of fuel for a bop encounter which then got flung out into an extremely high solar orbit past eeloo thanks to tylo. the brave kerbal inside managed to alter to an encounter with the dunar atmosphere after a long 36 years and by the end, the fart n' fume driven lander safely crashed into the side of duna where rescue is likely to come. ps. the kerbals who were waiting for Geneman kerman on bop were not impressed.
  19. There's a situation with gravity if i ever saw one
  20. live in coastal British Columbia, where the bears are legal, the rainfall is frequent and nobody can agree on which pipeline should go where.
  21. i believe that in order to be an "expert", you need to do a few things: 1: laugh in the face of tylo 2: tear eve a new atmosphere 3: learn the fine points of high yield explosive decoupling 4: figuring out that you can indeed climb the flag pole
  22. ASAS: I'm afraid i can't let you do that Jeb. (Jeb proceeds to manual shutoff hatchet) and now for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT Me: so asas, we both want to go to space today right? asas: right. asas immediately after launch:full right thrust it is! me: i should have left you behind. asas: full left thrust it is!
  23. as my first time on the forum, a challenge! it is this: create the biggest rover you can and blast it to any planetary body or moon via rocket my attempt: the launch vehicle was rather.... big. this is intended for fun and no "winner" shall be announced though i will applaud they who build a larger craft. this is intended to be all stock and no cheating, no other rules apply.
  24. i thought it was about time to stop "lurking" and say hi. have been playing for a while and must say SRB-FTW!
